Damn cj well let’s hope Zion come back he will be a great 3rd option
Damn cj well let’s hope Zion come back he will be a great 3rd option
This is why you don't use your challenge on random questionable stuff in the third quarter
Get a stop
Nance, wow
We just couldn't figure out chris paul
gotta deny CP3 the inbound, make anyone else shoot the free throws.
Turnovers again kill this team. It's like they aren't even trying to address this issue...among other issues...
This is ridiculous
I mean Chris definitely intentionally elbowed him. Like history tells us that.
All the losses beside game one should have been a win I hope this team isn’t looking for morale victories we should have won , graham has to go maybe packaged with first pick
Your starting line up on the 3rd killed you. You can't act like this is a regular season game.
It's fine.
Draft Mathurin or Sharpe
Get Zion back
Dump Hayes, Temple, and Graham
Figure out where Kira fits, because he's not a shooter. Which is almost a no go.
The knee-jerkiest of all possible reactions.
We're a 9th seed missing our best player and we took a 64 win 1 seed to 6 games, and made them struggle for every win. We're fine. Sure nobody wants to lose and there are mistakes you can point to, but the fact that we are even playing in this game in the first place is a sign of intense accomplishment over the last few weeks.
Experience + Zion and we should be way better next year
Add a top 10 draft pick
Subtract the dead weight like Temple and Graham
We are in a good place.
Damn I wish they hadnt zoomed in on Zion at the end of the game lol
Straight up, two things lost us this game.
1) The big one, running the starting lineup with Jax for 6 minutes to start the 3rd. Totally poured away the entire lead in that time.
2) Smaller factor, but that weird use of the challenge in the 3rd.
Oh well. There are certainly things to be bitter about, and I certainly will be for a little while, but I'm pleased with how our season finished up.
This is why we need a legitimate 1. This point guard by committee stuff is not the ticket.
I do like the respect both teams are showing, and I'm glad the guys in the stadium are applauding. Nothing personal in it, just fighting it out. We gave them all they could handle.
Not only that, but this is a newly put together team. Larry Nance and CJ been here for 2 months. The rookies didnt get minutes until the 2nd half of the year.
They achieved this on the fly.
This same team with a full season together would be a 6th seed at worst. Without Zion.
Now let's just have a quiet offseason with no bad surprises and build on this.
Stating the obvious, but this team needs reliable 3pt shooters.
They have one and he is a rookie.
Proud of the team.
Willie's gotta get better as a coach esp w/ adjustments and rotations.
CJ has to be the 3rd guy b/c he clearly can't be the #2.
Gotta work w/ Jax or get rid of him.
Gotta get rid of Devonte and get a true pg who can facilitate.
We definitely made them feel us. It's going to be an interesting off season
I honestly think someone like Kira has the speed and just enough length to bother Chris Paul even more.
The man went 14 - 14 and they needed all of that.
But that is incredible.
Doesn't help when CP3 was 100% from the field 14/14.
He is just so clutch.
CP3 in this post-game
''Man, you have no clue how emotional every game here has been. Willie being my brother, someone I talk to about everything, seeing his son sitting on the baseline. It's a good win for us. There's a reason he's the coach here. There hasn't been this much energy here for a long time.''
''This city raised me, man.'' Gives praise to a family he knows in New Orleans who. Dapping up Pelicans mid-interview.
''It's emotional, this is home for me. I root for this team when I'm not playing against them.''
I’m a grown a** man. I just cried like a hungry infant. To see the emotion from Willie because he knows they got screwed is hard to see.
Man. That was sad. We fought. But Chris Paul did not miss.
We need a starting pg Ingram at the two her at the 3 Zion at the 4 Jonas at the 5 cj playing all the minutes we tried to give to graham and be our 6th man manu ginobili style; I’m disappointed truly believed the whole series we could take them
Those tears were from playing graham
Mr p3rkins coming on tv saying ingram is the best player in this series fired up Paul im sure
Twitter on the Pelicans
What a season. ❤️

Couldn't be higher on the Raptors' and Pelicans' futures, man. They showed so much in these playoffs

Whom will throw my phone in a lake before I can bet on the Pelicans winning the 2023 title?

The officiating was horrendous. All things considered they are still the better team, but I hate how the officials rub our noses in the dirt and make it even more challenging to take an already difficult series. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I just didn't factor in CJ being as bad as he was. I mean 4 games and he was pretty bad.
Still like the guy but my goodness.
Ingram just needs to keep doing his thing we will have a well balanced team if Zion and incoming pick get with the program
If you'd described this series, and the way this team played, to me before it started and asked if I'd be happy with that. The answer is yes.
Proud of the team. And I think the experience the got from this series will be immensely useful moving forward.
Phoenix played damn near perfect basketball and we almost beat them.
Took a once in a lifetime game from CP3 to stop this going to game 7.
Jokes aside, really proud of this team! This experience will be a huge boost for our future!
That would be awesome but I think he maybe a weak link on defense and if Zion don’t improve that won’t be good on that side
Yeah, Willie has to stop stuff like this. Playing Jax was too much and we lost that lead, then bringing in Graham too much just like earlier we lost alot of games b/c he had to play Temple. Somebody (maybe Monty) has to talk to him about not doing this. Going w/the hot hand and not worrying about playing your veteran guys. Makes no sense. He is a rookie coach so he will fix this. (prayers hands up). Lol.
