Few had expected that Deni Avdija would be available for Washington at No. 9, but it appears he could make it past the Knicks to them. He's been high on Wizards board, per sources.

I think he's fine at several things, but awful at several other things. Don't buy the shooting at all. 55% FT shooter and has never been good at any level pre-NBA. Don't buy his creation at all in the halfcourt, which is a huge part of his selling point.

He'll be a solid team defender and an okay tertiary passer, mostly in transition, who cuts well. Not interested in that with people like Maxey or Vassell still probably on the board.

Also there are other, personal reasons I don't like him that I wont go into because this is not the place.

Obi played in a system that was perfectly optimised for him in college. Great system which was 5 out, tons of room for him to roll and load up for jumps, huge wide open lanes, and everything facilitating him.

Knicks have a cramped floor with Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle and RJ Barrett who all need to sit at the rim for offensive play finishing, and none of them are real facilitators.

Then the defense

That?s a head scratcher when you signed both Juluis Randle and Bobby Portis last year in free agency. Haliburton made the most since, but oh well

Devin Vassell was a guy I liked throughout the process, so getting him would be ideal IMO
