I believe this trade means Hill is close to returning since he can play the 4. We are going to need a big AND without him were 1 short.
I nothing Vaughan but we need a damn big
That move likely saved us money this season. I think Dante was over 3mil and Vaughan is closer to 2mil
Sources: There's still hope within Kenneth Faried's camp that Denver will find a trade for Kenneth Faried and allow him a fresh start elsewhere. Denver has been talking to teams -- including Indiana -- but those haven't resulted in a deal.

I imagine the conversation going like this:
Dante: I want a trade!
Demps: Ok I'll see what i can do.
Dante: Cool.
Demps: I got you a trade.
Dante: Awesome! Thanks Dell! Where to?
Demps: Brooklyn! :D
Dante: Uhh....
Demps: I did good huh?!
Dante: ...
Demps: BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Dante: But I....

Received text from league executive to expect an “intense” bidding war for Joe Johnson who is expected to be bought out by the Sacramento Kings, with the #Celtics one of the teams in the mix.

Vaughn won't play, but this gives the Pelicans $400,000 more wiggle room under the tax and puts them in the buyout market. https://t.co/7qh7zGKa5P

Nets essentially trade Zeller for Cunningham—who will not seek a release/buyout in Brooklyn: https://t.co/4GVR4kkJlK

With time ticking, Minnesota forward Shabazz Muhammad could get a buyout and become a coveted free agent if he isn't traded, a source said.

Source: Joe Johnson is expected to be waived by the Sacramento Kings with an intention on joining a contender. @DefPenHoops

If Joe goes to the Celtics that would be enough to get them into the Finals (including all the moves the Cavs made today). Johnson has one role, and one role only with the Celtics, and that is a role that they have needed filled for some time. The Cavs now have to figure out how to get all those new players tongel. You thought AD and Boogie gelling last year was rough? Imagine your team bringing in 5 new key players, and finding roles for all of them.
Grizz have had second-round pick offers for Tyreke Evans for weeks now. Have half an hour to decide whether they’ll take them.

Give me Willie Reed.
So we not doing anything excepting saving money
I don't think it will matter. At the end of the day, the Cavs have improved defensively, and none of the new guys are ball dominant aside from Clarkson and should therefore fit together more easily.
That said, in the playoffs it generally (though not always) comes down to the team with the best player. And LeBron is so much better than Kyrie it's absurd. So the Celtics won't make the finals.
We might go out after a few guys in the open market with this money
Poor Vaughn, went from Toronto to Milwaukee to Brooklyn to New Orleans all in the same season
It's the most... Wonderful time.... Of the year. #NBATradeDeadline
This franchise is becoming an embarrassment... attendance low, games get cancelled due to leaks, the owner is cheap and only cares about shoving DIXIE, DIXIE, DIXIE beer down our throats @ 12 dollars a cup. Local media basically does 0 reporting on this team, and owner makes NO moves that require spending any money... just looking for the next good deal, to keep us strung along. how many more years? Depressing Dell...
I just want to reiterate...
Rashad Vaughn was the 17th overall pick in the 2015 draft. 2 1/2 years after being drafted in the 1st round he was traded for Dante Cunningham.
Anyone complaining about the Mirotic trade...... *points up*
Chicago #Bulls trade Jameer Nelson to Detroit #Pistons for Willie Reed, then waive Reed: https://t.co/pNRvKxlNN5

Based on what @Rachel__Nichols reported on The Jump, it sounds like Isaiah Thomas' camp will push for a buyout if the Lakers want to bring IT off of the bench. Considering developing Lonzo Ball is their main priority, that's a strong possibility.

"I can't believe the Pelicans are too cheap to trade for Mirotic. They need to make this trade happen now."
*Pelicans trade for Mirotic and get a 2nd rounder back*
*1 week goes by*
"I can't believe the Pels are too cheap to trade for a player and just keep stringing us along."
/facepalm
Now that Dante is gone we should see consistent minutes from Diallo. Excited to see him develop the rest of the season and build up his trade value for this summer. Diallo can really be a big factor in how this franchise looks over the next few years. We need this kid to play well and if he does there will be a lot of rebuilding teams interested in him.
