Currently? 7th Behind Denver, Portland, SA and Min. Portland and Denver with head to head advantage despite tie. Still a game back of Timberwolves and Spurs. Wolves have advantage in tie with Pelicans. We have advantage over Spurs in tie.

Fair, when I looked at the table it hadn't updated us to 10 wins, so I just assumed it hadn't updated anyone for the night yet. Therefore I added the losses Denver and Portland took (which would put us ahead with them both at 10-9) and which would put us 4th. Conference tables are fully updated now and yep, you're right, 7th seed tied for 5th.

I am proud of how this team has done since getting our butts kicked by Denver. I still think we are better with boogie but he is beginning to be tradable. I wonder if boogie will sign an extension or opt for free agency?

Talk about fans overreacting. I was on the spurs message board and some fans are saying coach pops is washed up and not a good coach anymore. That's insane.

I agree to an extent, it is true that Pop isn't as good as he once was, but he's hardly washed. He's just had the best prime coaching career of all time, and it's easy to fall from those heights. He's still a top three coach right now. Spurs fans are just spoiled tbh.

Finally a blow out game. I didnt expect it against Pop's team but that's even more encouraging. We see how much it helps to have a very solid three point shooter (at least one:)). The starting line up looks so much better on the offensive end with Moore in it as we no longer play 4 on 5. I cant wait for Hill to be back. And I hope we stop with the really slow starts from now on.

A lot of Pop's strength as a coach used to be that he treated everyone exactly equally: Tim Duncan could get benched for screwing up the same as the 9th man (not that Duncan messed up very often, but you get the point). It's true now, however, that Pop gives certain players a ton of leeway that he never used to to give, and it can lead to awful plays or even sequences of awful plays that he does little to stop. This is particularly obvious when Tony Parker is playing, or Manu. If you watched them last year, you'd notice things like DeWayne Dedmon being benched for missing a rotation, while Ginobili would be allowed to shoot three airballs and commit a turnover and be allowed to stay on court. It's just not as disciplined as it used to be.

That's true. Doesn't excuse leaving Manu in for extended periods of time when he's causing many of the preventable issues. In fact, a less talented team requires stricter coaching, not less.

Yeah. I figured as much as soon as he got here. And now that the Pelicans are doing well, the behavior shift. Positivity.

But whatever. If he actually learns from our criticisms and becomes less of a **** and not always a downer, I'll embrace it. I have been one of his biggest denouncers but it takes a big person to change. We'll see how long it lasts. He can even start posting under his own name and as long as he's cool to people I'd come around.

I am impressed with Alvin Gentry the last 2 games big time. He stepped up in a huge way. He is letting his assistant coaches do their Job. For that I Salute Alvin Gentry.
