Hield being double having a tough second half. Texas is up, lets see how he responds. Texas definitely has the momentum right now.

Just a question. If Pels land a high pick, would you consider trading AD + pick for Wiggins and Anthony-Towns? I know it 's pure fantasy, but curious if people would rather have our current situation or a starting line up of Holiday, Evans, Wiggins, Anderson and Towns
If you were the Wolves would you do it? I know I wouldn't if I was them. It's a very good question and outside of being bias I think you make that trade. Personally I don't know if I could do it because I would rather take my chances of finding that next player or two and keep AD.
Yeah, Minny probably wouldn't do it, though AD is already an established all star/all nba player. You think you know what Towns and Wiggins will be (it looks good) but you don't know for sure.Plus you get a high pick this year. If we were drafting outside top 5, no chance at all.
It feels like sacrilege to even kick around hypos like this, but I'm weary with this team. And discussions about things like resigning Ryan Anderson at $18 million or bringing Gordon back just give me this incredible sinking feeling. Unless they Pels are aggressive in remaking this roster, I'm not renewing. I think Dell's had his chance. He's had some bad luck, but that's the way it goes. I think this team needs a fresh pair of eyes who has no investment in the status quo. And if Dell didn't do anything at the deadline because he wanted to roll the dice on making the playoffs to save his job, he should be gone tomorrow. That's gross mismanagement.
EJ played great O and terrible D.
I read MM article. But I am against bringing back EJ on any deal.
I would rather trade unguaranteed and 2nd rounder for Morrow.
Like Luke/Toney.
With Ryno I feel that FO wants him in NO.
I think that this might not be a bad idea. We may extend him and trade him later...
Saying you are against bring Gordon back on any deal is completely bias and shows you don't like him. Morrow isn't half the player of Gordon. If we could get him on a good contract you absolutely bring someone like him back. Someone like Gordon off the bench is extremely valuable if that's the case with him returning. I think he can get more $ somewhere like Indiana and get a starting role though. He would be a nice fit in there lineup between Hill and George while being loved by the fan base.
Yes. I do not like him.
I prefer to use this money elsewhere. Especially when I expect that Ryno will be extended.
What is the reasonable price. Per 1 year. And for 4?
I am not saying that he is a bad player.
Just want some changes. After all those years when he was killing our cap.
For all of the money which he received from NO, I will offer him MLE :)
For one year.
I see him looking for 1year/10million. Or 4 years/50m.
I will pass. ..
Oh I completely agree with you and want some changes also. I'm not saying I want him back either. I can understand the frustration with him haha although mine is not as bad as others. I have no idea under this knew cap what good deal is and I guess we will get some kind of idea after or during FA. We won't get him for a good deal anyway so I doubt he comes back. Teams out there have to spend a certain amount of their cap and he will definitely have some buyers. I wouldn't mind the MLE exception for a year or two like you said. I guess that would be considered a good deal. If there isn't much to bring in and our options start getting slim is when I would consider signing him but with your that I would rather look somewhere else.
I hope we can bring someone like Barnes or Batum in but I'm not banking on it. We still have to be realistic that we can't just get anybody we want as a FA and be pissed at Dell because they didn't sign or even come in for a visit. If we can just stay healthy, hit on our draft pick, and add one piece in FA who doesn't have to be a star we could have a very good team next year. Say we brig Gordon and Ryno back which I really hope we do bring Ryno back. Reke/Gordon/Ryno could be one hell of a trio off the bench. Put BDJ/QPon at the 2/3 giving us better defense and we could be very solid. That's without including a draft pick and FA who could knock one of those guys to the bench. That group mite have some kind of voodoo on them because they just can't stay healthy though.
Also with EJ. I do not like his cap hold. Add to this Rynos cap hold and I do not see money for FA.
What in the World happened to the premise of this thread?
After watching yesterday's games, I still like Bacon and Hammond. Jackson and Trimble didn't do enough for me even though Trimble had 19 points. Devin Robinson from Florida would be a nice draft and stash. Get him to gain a few pounds and get more consistent on 3 and he'll be a great 3-D player.
jamal murray looks for real.
With the way jrue ad ryno and eg are playing we might be picking around 10, gimme murray or valentine.
I like Jake Layman (SF) as a second round pick out of Maryland. His 3% has went up every year and he is big at 6'9" allowing him to possibly play some stretch 4 if he bulks up some.

I'm still seeing the Pels picking between 6 and 9, not sure they can get either side of those (unless lucky in lottery).
My big board as it stands: (Simmons, Ingram assumed gone)
Buddy Hield - Possibly best player in college ball, deep range 3pt bomber who has improved every year in college, hes most NBA ready IMO.
Jamal Murray - Another Kentucky system guy, quality shooter, only 19, could become something special.
Jaylen Brown - Amazing physical tools but not a great shooter, needs a few years to get it together.
Jakob Poeltl - Finesse big man, shows some polish, could contribute on the cheap at an expensive position. Also possible AD finishes out games at C so less pressure on him.
Kris Dunn - I'm less sold on him than others, feel like he's redundant next to Jrue.
2nd round is harder but:
Taurean Prince - Energy guy, moving up mock drafts though into 1st round, would be nice if available
Pascal Siakam - Mean PF, would bring some intensity, shows some polish in his low post moves.
Gary Payton II - Does everything on the floor, moreso on defense.
Michael Gbinije - Good size wing with range.
A guy I like is Timothe Luwawu, he has good size and wingspan. He has great defensive potential and is a decent shooter. He's a guy most comparable to a Batum or Paul George type player. He would be a project but I can see this guy being the exact type of player we need. I'm not a huge fan of Heild or Murray, we don't need another guard plus in the NBA these guys are PGs not SGs. If we plan on keeping Jrue I best bet is to have a traditional sg not one who is ball dependent.
What I don't like about Heild is that he has exploded this season but it's due to him being a high volume scorer and having a high usage. People complain about Reke and his usage heild will not help that. I don't like his size either to be able to be a capable defender. I see him having his biggest success as a pg not a sg.
Hield will be fine, hes comparible to Dwyane Wade's size, he's high usage because he's the best on his team (which is winning a lot of games). It doesn't mean he cannot play off the ball. I think Hield's distance shooting is most likely of all prospects to translate to NBA 3pt line, and Buddy does a lot of work in transition too which fits the Gentry system. Hield is Gentry's wet dream for this draft.
I think he's a player you need to let be a volume scorer I also don't think he can be a capable defender at the next level. Since he will be 23 coming into the draft u think he's basicly what you see is what you get. In this age of scoring guards I serious think he's s pg. He will have better mismatches at that position and would be a far better defender. Also looking at Dell record I don't see him taking a project like Timothy anyway I think he goes Heild who is mostly NBA ready. I
I've watched more than five of his full games. He can catch and shoot. He can create. He can finish at the rim. You say he doesn't have the size to play 2 but his measurables are the same as other 2's in the league. It is fine to have an opinion but don't knock other peoples differing opinions. None of us truly know otherwise we would be pro scouts instead of forum addicts.

Man I won't lie Jamal Murray is a special kid. Im starting to lean with him more than Heild. Both would be nice but Murray has that "what if" untapped potential since he is younger so I prefer him. Dude is a deadly player. He has that killer assian look in his eyes that I would love on this team.
U don't get why people want another guard so bad we have Reke, Q, and BDJ we need a 3/5 not a guard.
Q is a SF and BDJ is third string. We have Jrue, Reke and nothing much after that. Gordon is likely not resigned, Douglas is non-guaranteed. I agree SF/C are the weakest positions but there really aren't that many prospects I like at those positions. IMO Hield off the bench until all star break and trade Tyreke to then let Hield start is a good way forward.
Brandon Ingram might be the star of this draft. He would be an absolute perfect fit in Gentrys system. The kid is I believe the youngest player in this draft. He shoots the lights out of the ball from 3 and has a very smoothe stroke. IMO he is going to be a very similiar player to PG13 being able to do it all. Once this kid adds some more strength and muscle he can be unstoppable. His long ball outside of the first month has been every bit as good as KDs was and better. The more I watch him as he continues to develop he looks like the real deal and safest pick in this draft. Being 6'10 with great athleticism and an amazing shooting stroke will always have a spot in this league.
Ingram will be gone when we pick unless we're #1 or 2. But it is nice to dream.
I wish I can see what you see in Ingram. Do you have any good stats, videos ,etc on him? When I watch him on TV he just not do anything for me. I can see the potential but asking his body frame to add muscle is a prime example of many longshots he has. In reality by the time he is not a feather weight AD will be looking for his third contract or testing the market. I just feel he is too much of a long term investment especially when we already have a young superstar on our team. I'm more for Simmons, Heild, Dunn, hell even Murray bandwagon. Those guys will need two years tops to get into the groove.
Yea I have a lot of stuff I will post you can watch on him. I'm a big Duke fan and have been able to watch him progress all year. I'm not usually high on many Duke players transitions to the NBA but lately they have been producing better NBA talent and he is by far the best I have seen there. Winslow wasn't half the offensive player that Ingram is and Ingram isn't far behind him defensively either. When the season first started I was very down on him but everything started clicking and he has gone on a terror since. I love his two way ability and his amazing length and athleticism to be an elite SF. For his age his shooting stroke is incredible and right up there with what KD was doing in college. It took him a little time to get to this point but he's there. I don't think him needing to add weight will slow him down at all. He is no skinner then KD and many other guys who come to the NBA. He can still be dominant at his size now but as he puts on weight it will just help his overall game like it does for everyone. He has the frame to naturally put on weight very easy. It's not so much about weight as it is about strength and that's something anybody can do with hard work.

Breakdown comparing Ingram to Durant and Simmons
Cool video but pretty weird with a girls voice computer generated
The game against Virginia is a must watch. One of the best defenses and teams in college basketball he just dominates. He shows how clutch he is and what he can bring to our team offensively. Makes the game winner with no time left.
He is an elite shooter from 3 point and mid range. He has elite skills in the post and paint for a SF being able to spin while attacking either side. He has elite length and athleticism. His defense is very good with potential to be an all NBA defender. Is a good rebounder who can be great with some added strength. Very good passer and ball handler. Coach K has stated he is such a great ball handler and passer he can be a PG in the NBA if asked which he will likely play a point forward at times. He is the total package and can be one of the best SFs in the NBA. Ingram and Simmons are so close for me I go back and forth.
He seems to me like a mix of Giannis and Middleton. But not quite as good as a combo of those two would be.
I don't mind the Giannis comparison but he has a shot twice as good. I don't really see the Middleton comparison. IMO he looks very similiar to Durant and when you watch Durants college tape and compare the two they are near identical. He pretty much has the same stats as Durant in every single category while even better in some including 3pt%. He's more explosive then Durant was as this time in their career while they have the the same exact body type. They both have a deadly 3 pointer with a very smoothe and quick release. He is also great with his back to the basket in the post and right outside the paint shooting the fade away or moving to the basket.
The kid is good at everything and just turned 18 which is insane. He is 6'9 with a 7'5 wingspan with potential to grow even more. The only thing he is not very good to elite at is his rebounding along with his strength and weight. The good thing is the rebounding will get much better when he gets stronger and adds some weight. He has everything you can't teach a player but adding strength and weight is easy with a little hard work. We all saw it happen with AD taking a huge step with his strength and weight. It didn't seem to hurt his game much his first couple of years and he was a big man where it is much more important. Ingram will naturally get stronger and add weight as he gets older. Not very easy to put on weight at 17-18 years old when your 6'9 with a 7'5 wingspan. He also probably just started using weights this year which is typical for a HS basketball player not lifting much. Ingram will easily get into the 220+ range over the next couple years with 225-235 probably being his ideal playing weight. IMO I would rather him on the lighter side keeping that explosion and flexibility. The key for a SF is getting stronger not necessarily adding weight.
Also people keep looking for a scorer and we don't need that we need a 2 way player which we lack. Guys who can defend multiple positions and guys like Heild and Murray can't provide that.
