He's pretty busy. He may be working on it, but he's also working on other stuff too. I'm cool with the logo since he went out of his way to do it, but obviously would love to see uniforms. Time will tell!

Has anyone thought to call them the Sinners? The synergy would be pretty cool.

It's been suggested. Personally I'm not a fan of the 'synergy' names. I'd prefer the franchise to have its own brand. And, in isolation, Sinners just sounds kind of 'meh.'

Just a reminder, there is little support on this board for any of the names but the 3 listed in this poll. Just a recap from the previous poll, Brass led the way with 37% of the vote, followed by Krewe and Voodoo at roughly 30% of the vote. Arc Angels received 5%, Corsairs 3%, Knights 6% and Soul 11%. I know every name post gets hijacked by people who love or hate a particular name, but outside of the big 3, just know that your favorite name is considered a "fringe" name on this board. HTH

For people wanting Crusaders... Remember, there is always a distinct possibility that fans will ghey it up by shortening it up and calling them "'Saders", as was unfortunately common at my alma mater, Brother Martin. You have been warned!

Only name I like is the VooDoo. And no I don't care that the AFL team has the name. Whatever. Lets not act like this is the name of an already established NFL team or anything. The name can be had if Benson decides on it make no doubt about it. I want my team's name to have some kind of pop to it, sound bad a**, and mean N.O. without every one outside of the state askin' "WTH is a __________?". To me Krewe is meh. We know what it means but people outside of the gulf region don't really understand. Arc Angels is meh as well. Too much of a play off Saints. Brass is bland & boring IMHO. I live in VA right now and have tested out most of these names to co workers & friends and most seem to like VooDoo. One guy flat out told me it would be bad a** & I agree.

I see no reason not to put a ton of weight on the opinion of a "one guy" in VA

There's a group trying to push New Orleans Bounce as well, I think that's the worst one yet.

I'm not saying that this guy is the reason I like the name....I was just testing it out on people outside of the state and saying that he was 1 of the people I asked was excited about like it was his team. And people have to realize that NBA in general has fans across the globe. You're not only marketing to you're particular region but to fans everywhere .... that the point I'm trying to get across.

I hope the PR firms can come up with something tough sounding, while still regional. I do like Brass (which I voted for in this pole), but I wouldn't whine too bad if Voodoo ended up being it.

The pelicans is way too wimpy. Krewe has a ring to it, but it seems too vague, and also reminds me of Columbus Crew soccer team.

My thought is the Reapers. Therefore you could tie in the voodoo elements/ghostly things N.O. is known for and come up with some fearsome jerseys.

I think Breakers and Corsairs are good, IF Dub's color combos are used. Brass sounds too much like Jazz, Krewe sounded good at first, but the more I see it, the less I like it. Voodoo would be a cool concept, but it's already in use, and the name might hurt sales. I like Reapers, and I think Soul has a cool sound to it.

I'm telling you...Knights is the best name I've heard...Knights are manly, they protect and kill, whereas Brass and Krewe sound like we are setting up for Mardi Gras, cmon guys wake up! Asif Benson will choose them

I keep seeing this name but I have NO idea what that means....also why do you think the VooDoo name would hurt sales? Do you think that many fans already have AFL VooDoo apparel? It could sell IMO just change up the color scheme a little.

Yeah man, I'm with you on this. The Knights has the best potential out of the names on here. The Knights and the Saints would go great together even, both religious and prestigious names. We have a ton of french/royalty cultural connections. The fleur de lis the PERFECT symbol for the Knights. The Knights protect the King's COURT. Louisiana is named after a french king, King Louis. We could even throw King Rex in there. Our mascot's name could be the Cajun Crusader! That is awesome! You can't mess it up! lol
