I know what you mean. If we could only be like OKC. It hurts sometimes. Its' difficult. But, I deal with it. I'm concerned for the day when the Hornets leave us and move to OKC and they have two teams and we are left with nothing. But, until that day comes, I will enjoy this team. :hihi: :hihi:Quote:

okay so fans are here at home. we know that.
but after a sellout 22,076 in detroit, look where we are in road attendance and look who's ahead of us. boston (the champs), cleveland (lebron), and l.a.'s lakers (kobe)
half the season is over so this doesn't look like a fluke. last year we were 23rd in road attendance. the okc years we were 30th and 29th.
seems like we're getting the casual fan's attention.
we have a ways to go to catch the lakers, but look where the next biggest gap is between 29th and 30th. seems some fans in every city are on a self-imposed boycott of the bennetts...

If anyone has any doubts, a sell out, on a Monday, at 230pm, on MLK, where not all of us were fortunate enough to have the day off.. This just goes to show how much the area has taken on to this team. They are here to stay fellas, not that I had any doubts within about a year now! Wooooo!
Why is it we don't even draw(!4,000 plus tonight) well at home against the Nets?
It's not like they don't have a star player (Vince Carter). The last few home games against the Nets have been the same even when they still had Jason Kidd.
actually last year we sold out the nets game in march, but still, strange attendance tonight.

Attendance: 14,748. Oh my gosh, terrible! Move the team, pack it up.. We fail.. We had one off night that still beat the attendance benchmark in the lease agreement.. OKC needs a second team. Move em there.

Last year's game was Gospel Night, where I believe the organization offered ticket packages for local churches, and featured gospel performances before, during halftime, and after the game. It was also on a Friday night after the big ASG boost.Quote:

Attendance benchmarks have long since been attained. They've already reached the number of sellouts they've had all of last season and still have 11 regular season home games left. Attendance is fine.

Well we'll probably never be higher than say #15 seeing as we have one of the smaller arenas in the league.

Maybe you should look at it the way the NBA looks at it....what percentage of the arena is full. If you look at it that way, New Orleans is #7 out of 30 teams. The NBA looks at numbers, but, they really place a high value of what percentage of the seats are being sold.Quote:

I guess I am lucky my tickets only went up about $3 per game. Let's hope they stay that way. I did hear that some club seats went up 25%. I was like wow!
Well, if you can drop 6K on season tickets, odds are you can drop 7K on tickets. We'll see, I'm renewing but am definitely stressed more about it, I owuld have been really glad to see another 7.5% hike, if that would have happened, I woudl have sent him the money and smiled just like I did last year. Problem now is if there is any price hike next season, I'm probably priced out. At a 7.5% increase per year, it would have taken 4 years for my tickets to reach next year's price.

Some markets will be able to stay the same and some will raise theirs but I doubt there will be any that will be lowering theirs.
