Yea he's bringing a lot of energy to the lineup and his energy and hustle has been contagious. He's like one of those guys who won't let your team quit even when things are tough. His mentality is much needed for this squad.

With how good herb jones has been with us would this make griff value 2nd round picks rather than trading them for cash considerations?
Outside of the Edwards run in the 3rd period, in which he was incredible, the Pels were fully in control and played well. There were some turnovers early on that had me worrying, but the team tightened up and came through. And, kudos to Val!!
Herb Jones = The Worm 2.0
...and I said it before the season started.
Don't see it. Rodman was an elite rebounder as well. I do not see that part of the game for Herb (at least not as dominant as Rodman was). Hopefully his offense catches up to his defense at some point. He appears to be more comparable to someone like maybe Thybulle.
Thybulle was my thought as well. And the problem with Thybulle is that, as elite as he is on defense, he becomes almost unplayable at times because of how poor his offense is. He has to be bolted into lineups in which basically everyone else can play a very defined offensive role - he can't just take the floor alongside whoever. Which obviously limits his utility.
Will Herb be as good defensively as Thybulle? Maybe not, Thybulle is already historical in many ways, but if he can be 80% of Thybulle on defense (but bigger, obviously) while being 25% better than Thybulle on offense, that's a really valuable player. If he can't manage that 25% better? Well, we'll be in for a different discussion.
SVG would have loved HERB
They really dump Jonas and Trey for some Zaire Williams, Steven Adams, Bledsoe, and Lakers pick...
Big Yikes....
I think the distinction you have to make is that Jonas has always been a much bigger offensive threat than Adams. It's just something he's more active in doing and has historically had more success in - I feel a bit more confident projecting Jonas as doing what he's doing consistently, since he's done it before, than Adams who is currently playing way outside himself.
Adams is currently scoring at a higher rate than any season in his career shy of the 2017-18 season, on a career high TS% (that thus far includes shooting 100% from the FT line, more than double his percentage last year and almost 40% better than his previous career high), and shooting a career high at the rim.
It's fair to assume that will drop off - he's not shooting 100% from the line all year, for example.
Meanwhile, Jonas' performance so far for us has been good but also actually worse than you would expect from him in a lot of ways. He's shooting a career low from 2, and 15% worse at the rim than his career average. If anything, it's fair to assume that Jonas will improve in some respects while Adams is due a regress.
