See, I thought the blinking meant he had some secret knowledge about the orange crop this year. This is why I come here, for the edjummacation.
Its called tanking. Minnesota is better than expected, if we're gonna get value from the CP3 trade we have to make it ourselves and that involves sucking as much as Washington and New Jersey (which is hard) and Eric wont make it any easier.
Implement stupid rotations, give bench warmers 30mins a game and see if u get a call from a GM who's interested. Maybe snag a steal of a deal while u lose 50 outta 66 games and hope the TWolves dont make the playoffs.
Its called rebuilding. You try things you know arent "the best possible way" just to see what you have in a player / lineup.
We're competitive with a cast of role players which is exciting and gives me alot of hope. But truth is Gordon has been injury prone since after his rookie season so dont pin your hopes for the future on him. Hes not the answer.
He wasn't born a man? That isn't his real hair?
Bring in Granger.
I did not see the interview so cannot comment on what I think it is. However, it is a very strange thing for a coach to say, regardless of what it is. If you can not say anything, just shut up and don't start wild speculation. I sat a few rows behind the Hornets' bench tonight and Gordon seemed in a better than usual mood.
Maybe he's about to get paid

Tame speculation: dude's got Brocato's spumoni at home, maybe a wedge for Monty, too.
Speculation sauntering tamely!
Almond section is the best.
Here's the full quote - “I know some things. I’d love to tell you guys as much as I do know but I’ve got to hold onto it for another day or two and get some more information from the doctors. They’re still running tests on him but we’ll know more Monday or Tuesday for sure.”
Speaking of A. Brocato's, I stopped in tonight for a cherry turnover and some fig cookies, and stole my wifes spumoni. Gosh it's so nice to live in New Orleans.

@xMediaOutlet @MikeSGallagher final tests monday and tuesday. but for now it sounds like they've discovered something troubling.
such a weird quote. did anyone actually see him say it? out-of-context it could be read in a number of ways, good and bad. but the man's expression would make it a lot more clear, i reckon.
could be good extention and health news or bad health news. hopefully not microfracture...
i am assuming it's something that has developed post-trade since a trade of that magnitude would have demanded a super-thorough physical...you hope.
anyhow, i'm hoping for the best. injuries are the worst part of sport. no matter what team you support.
If whatever the issue is with his knee is something that could linger all season, I say shut him down. This team is going nowhere but the lottery this year, so why risk the only legitimate star you have on your roster for a lost season?
It's obvious from the quote they appear to have found something else wrong with his knee or it's worse then expected. Honestly is this a bad thing? I would rather him be out and continue to lose games then him play and we win a few more games. Let's be honest with ourselves, if we want to speed up this rebuilding progress then we need to have a top 3 pick. Minnesota is starting to figure it out so we cant rely on their pick being that good. With Gordon this team was never going to make the playoffs and with out him we could be one of the worse in the NBA. I'm fine with that, I think it's time for everyone to sit back an enjoy the losing. It's for the best
I do find it disconcerting when they are still running tests on a player that has been out of action for a couple weeks already....
No way that they are running tests to make sure no swelling = no problem. No way Monty would be talking about that then holding up.
Nope.
As far as this historical thing in other comments: these are different people. So unless you know their record, stop mixing your fear and ignorance with reality. Let the process play out. Maybe he's playing by Orlando or anything up to terminally ill and an alien.
Quote some facts that are germene or quote your feeling. Don't try to pump it with some silly, meaningless decoration of irrelevant facts. This goes out to a number of people. It's a waste of time and subtracts from meaningful sharing.
I can't believe how many of you automatically assume this is negative. If this quote came out 3 weeks ago negativity would make sense, but not now. As someone else said if it's something bad they should know by now, no need for more tests for a bad prognosis at this stage, but waiting on the next test to clear him would make sense. Also, why would Monty "love to tell" anyone about Gordon having a serious injury? This board is jaded beyond belief.
On top of that, Gordon's recent quotes on the extension sound like he's posturing for more money. If he was about to get diagnosed with a serious season ending knee injury he wouldn't be haggling in the press like he's trying to get Demps to go from $12 - $14 million.
