It's also possible that Evans just doesn't want to come to New Orleans and signs a smaller deal with Sacto.

I think we will eventually see a Vasquez for Evans S&T. Just a wild guess.
Looks like woj tweeted Evans may never even sign our offer sheet..
^^^^^ late lol
He is probably saying that for the same reason we are saying Gordon would be the starter and he would be off the bench. It's all niceties just in case the deal falls apart.
I am becoming more and more convinced we are going to trade Lopez to make room, sign and trade Roberts or Vasquez for Reke, then trade Gordon for Deng. The question I have is who will be the center we pick up to play 10-15 minutes or against the bigger bigs.
No word on Tyreke Evans yet, who I'm told would prefer to stay in Sacramento ... comparable contract offer from sac likely sways him 2 stay

He ain't down with 6th man or playing 3.
I think he is just not trying to burn bridges either way. He doesn't wanna say he doesn't want to be there because if they resign him fans will remember that (ala Eric Gordon).
I wouldn't take stock into what jones has to say. He's not respected by king fans. He's like their Mackel. i
Per those close to the situation as of this morning, DeMarcus Cousins maintains his desire for a max contract by this summer.

Fast forward to July 13th already so I know where we stand!
No, and yes.
They have zero cap flexibility as the cap hold for Tyreke is taking up all of their cap space.
But if Cousins gets a max deal, the cap hit won't come into play until next season. Like Jrue Holiday did in Philly, Cousins can get the extension now, but it would be for the four or five seasons after this coming season.
I think he stays now that Iggy's offer was pulled by Sac.
Jimmy F. will get moved and Ben Mc won't start.
I'd love to be in Dell's head..or in his office right now. I'd assume they are starting to get irritated after how far they went to woo him. Or at least, I know I am. :)
Is this what Phoenix fans went through last year with Eric Gordon?
Reke wants to play in Sac-Town, it is what it is
Tyreke is doing exactly what EG should have done.
Saying nothing, but letting it float out there that he wouldn't mind staying, on the chance that Sac matches. If they don't match, no one here will care about those rumors. If he blisters Sac, and they match, then he's persona non grata in Sactown.
He's being smart.
Looks like mayo is about to sign a multi year contract with the bucks.
I'm going cut grass, hopefully something of substance would have happened when I get back.
My concern is that Reke's agent might be saying "We'll sign your offer vs NOLA's if you hike it up, otherwise we're signing with NOLA". Kings might just eat the contract structure in that scenario and elect to match ours vs. signing his. Which would do nothing but screw with us.
if was true this contract struture, Demps don't think in sign and trade
Im leaning towards him staying with the kings when it's all said and done. I think he will take a little less to stay in Sacramento. Crazy as it sounds but oh well. A guy has now taken less $$$ to stay in Sacramento. OUCH that hurts. (If it happens)

Tyreke Evans may never sign the Pelicans' reported four-year, $44 million offer sheet, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, who describes the situation as "fluid."
The Kings could present Evans with an acceptable contract and thus preempt the Pelicans' offer sheet, and it's possible that another team could jump into the fray. One of many complications is that New Orleans would need more cap space for Evans' offer sheet -- they have until Friday to either waive Robin Lopez or guarantee his contract for the next two seasons, though there's enough trade interest that it's considered "unlikely" the Pelicans will waive him.

It looks like he is not coming. It is time to move on. I hope we can pick up Brewer and Copeland at SF and go to bat with what we have, which would still be much improved. Worse case scenario is we trade our starting center then get left at the altar by Evans.
What I like about this thread is that every other page people repeat the same info.
