Only about 5 or 6 could offer a higher draft pick this year. For what that's worth.

It's strange, the fear of injuries. It's irrational, but also inconsistent. There's concern about Butler's injury history and Kris Dunn's...but seems that perfectly healthy players come here and immediately get hurt. So what does it matter in the end?

i WOULD SOOOOO RATHER trade back with Denver and get picks picks.... let's say 15 and 18 (they have 10,15,18,20 on what im looking at)

One potential late 1st /early second pick Grayson Allen decided to stay at Duke.

As with picks You can trade any future 1st rounder but not consecutive...

I am upset that Grayson Allen is staying at Duke. I would love to get him here. He is like Kyle Korver, only dirty.

I just listened to the podcast and one guy Ryan wouldn't consider was Chriss I guess because he felt he was only a PF. Simmons and Ingram are taller and people say they can play the 3 or 4, why not Chriss who seems a little more athletic. He reminds me of a better Aminu but just my opinion.

If we are giving up the 6th spot to trade back we better be getting more than the 15th and 18th.

Boston tried to give Miami 3 1st round picks for the 10th spot and Miami said no thanks.

I'd want at the least a player as well. Some proven commodity. So maybe something like Danilo G +15 & 20 for the 6th and both our 2nd rounders.

Which basically allows them to save money by not having to give guaranteed contracts to two extra players and the 2nds can be sold or cut no issue

Trading back is stupid and very likely it won't happen. The NBA is about having stars. We have enough guys on our roster who can play the bench. We need 2 studs and our best chance is staying in the top 10.

Well surely if Evans is as good as you say he is then two 1st round picks and Evans should be plenty. Or am I missing something here. Another thing is I don't think anyone ever said it would be very likely to happen but what they would give. Look what the Knicks got for Melo and it's not like a few 1st round picks would be impossible. If Reke was half as good as you say he is we should be able to trump a lot of teams with Evans and picks.

Yea I would definitely be happy with Bazemore and Butler. That would be great fits being perfect for what we need. Butler and a few guys on the market at either the 2 and 3 would make us serious contenders next season. Best thing is we would still have a young team who could be good for a long time.

7-Greg Monroe 15- Larry Sanders and 18 Eric Bledsoe = trading back wins

it's close. it's all about the particular draft. in this draft, I believe 15 and 18 will be better than pick 8 for sure

Ok and do you know how many I can go pick who never even played more then a season? Do I need to go list every top 10 player who is a star or superstar inside the top 10? Your odds getting a stud player in the top 10 I guarantee are much higher then your odds of two 1st rounders in the mid to late rounds.

come on now, ur cherry picking players. I'd be willing to bet if we looked at the top 50 players of all time, more were drafted earlier than later.

I would actually like to see this happen. Spurs would be an absolute perfect place for him to go. Gets the time to learn the position behind Parker for a few years while working his way into a big bench role. He has the best chance of reaching his potential with the Spurs.

To me its about darts, you throw enough of them and you hit the board a few times. Plus I'd think picks in the teens are not that much worse then what you think. The only reason we trade down is to try and build through the draft and grow as a team together(GS and Spurs good examples of picking players and coaching them up). We haven't had a pick in a few years so this is a quick way to build. Now I'm not saying if we have a shot at Simmons or Ingram to trade, I doubt anyone would but after that there isn't a player I have to have or to me is a sure fire future all-star. So I just don't want to be pigeon holed into we have to pick at that spot. I want to keep our options open to trades with players and picks involved or trade for more picks that make sense.

If you pretend we're in a world where our gm knows what he is doing, you only need one dart. If one of these players is a future all star, I want the highest pick possible before someone takes that guy. A smart GM isn't just closing his eyes and hoping to have a lot of chances.

I want to kee our pick and take the best player available. We need the best player, not multiple lower level players. If our GM needs a lot of chances, then it doesn't really matter where he picks anyway.

That's the thing with this draft, it's very, very thin at the top.

In a way Tyler Ullis reminds me of Pierre Jackson, but only in that scouts have said of both of them "If only he were 5-7 inches taller he would be a top 5 pick." I like Ullis, and think that he was the biggest star on Kentucky's team last year.

yal are correct. but if you look at the past several years it is about even, if one were to choose 7 vs 15 and 18 or whatever.

Now that the game and the subsequent draft is global and full of one and done's i think it's very hard to know pick 7 will be better than two picks in the teens

draftexpress lets you look at all the picks in a certain draft spot at once. these are the (debatable) the best at each spot in recent times

He is also on a different level talent wise. Ulis can be a very similiar player to Mike Conley. Whoever gets him will get a very good player who can possibly be a star. Would love to see the Spurs get him.
