length of rookie contract, you can't predict anything past that, unfortunately.
At this point I'm satisfied with Burke, the only players I'm interested I'm are him, Oladipo, smart, shabazz, and Otto porter. Zeller if all else fails
Really big games tonight for some possible future Pelicans fellas.
SYR v GTWN - Otto vs MCW
KU v ISU - Another McLemore dominance?
OKST v KST - Can Smart lead another win to force a more-than-likely Kansas matchup before Tourney?
UCLA v UA - Great matchup here. Shabazz has a chance to impress.
If we land a top 5 pick then in order I'd like to see.....mclemore..smart...shabazz...Burke...porter ...Len....I know some might question the Len pick but dude is a true 7 footer and has a back to the basket offensive game that I wish we had in our center. To pair that with Davis I think would be amazing. He doesn't get ball as much as he should with marylands horrible guards but when he does good things happen. Mclemore will be gone unless we get lucky and get the #1 or 2nd pick. If we go sf I'd rather shabazz than porter at this point. I think people are buying into the lately porter hype a little too much. Still thinking shabazz has the higher ceiling with a much better offensive game. That's what I want from the sf pos. SCORING!!! We need scoring on this team!!!
How did smart porter and bazz do tonight?
Smart's game just starting and Bazz's early in the 2nd half
My top 5 would be:
1. Ben McLemore SG Kansas
2. Shabazz Muhammed SF UCLA
3. Otto Porter SF Georgetown
4. Marcus Smart PG Oklahoma St
5. Victor Oladipo SG Indiana
Every time I think about who I want us to take, I keep coming back to Oladipo. Frankly I don't care if he's not the best fit. He's easily the most athletic prospect in the draft, has vastly improved his offensive game, by all accounts has an incredible drive to get better, and even if his offense doesn't translate at all we still get Tony Allen-level defense.
Gordon/rivers
McLemore/mason
Brewer/Budinger
AD/ryno
Jefferson/smith
Make it happen!
This is my dream and this lineup would be toooo nasty
Watching ESPN I heard someone got hurt for UCLA, I didn't hear who it was hope it's not Shabazz
It wasn't Shabazz that got hurt for UCLA. It was the Jordan Adams (he actually won the game for UCLA).
How was smart and shabazz's stat line?
Shabazz had 11 and 3.
Smart was getting outsmarted, and K-State played to his intensity.
I want McLemore!
The problem with Bazz is all he does is score. He does nothing else. Reminds me of Chuck Person. Scoring is of course important, but there's a lot more to the game than just scoring, but everyone seems to overlook that.
Poor performances for those prospects last night. Oladipo, bazz and mcLemore advanced and play today I think.
