Hmmm...True...great regcognition on your part.

for those comparing Iguodala and Tyreke saying theyre basically the same size, make no doubts about it even if Evans has the better stats Iguodala is the better player. Pretty sure the large majority of GM's and Coaches would agree... Iguodala brings more than just stats....
Dont get me wrong thought id rather have Tyreke a younger player for cheaper, especially if he can play some SF.

We said we arent taking offers for Gordon?
Source with knowledge of Tyreke Evans' free agent situation thinks*#sackings*will have a decision on the 23-year-old's future by tomorrow. Via jon santiago twitter

sorry if this was already posted
Right after we made him "very available" not just on draft night but also at the trade deadline.
Maybe Jrue changed things and Dell wants to keep Gordon now. Or maybe we have a tentative deal with Chicago based on whether or not we can get Tyreke.
Maybe Chicago just plans on trading Deng anyways and that's why they're signing and drafting SF's.
There could be nothing to it, but it does seem like a pretty big coincidence.
I have a question..I didn't want to make a whole thread for it, how can I update my name it's been awhile since I have been on and would like to start posting again. Just want to update my name.
Jrue
Evans
Deng
Davis
Lopez
Yay for chemistry
The way it was originally reported seemed to imply that we had to be getting offers and were turning them down.
I hope it was more of a thing where Demps said, "Calm yourself. I have other arrangements to see to. Interrupt me again and I will not give your friend the antidote."
I agree with the Gordon for deng trade! The reason Gordon is "unavailable " they don't want to deal with him if he thought Evans was taking his spot and the kings match the offer!
Only reason Pelicans haven't filled there biggest need yet, SF, is because they got the deal already lined up... Why else spend all their time chasing a SG, while all the SFs are being signed up by other teams...
Am I the only one curious to see the next moves Demps is going to do to get Evans!
Yeah I have the same feeling. Deng was shopped up until around the draft. Now, nothing. They have plenty of SF's and no SG's now. The salaries match and we know the Pelicans were looking for a veteran to add to the roster.. while they brought in Jrue and are trying to bring in Evans, neither are technically veterans at 23 years old. Deng is 28.
His contract is also up after this year, so the team wouldn't be hampered by 4 players making 8+ million a year along with Davis most likely going to be a max contract player in a few years.
It's going to be an interesting few days/weeks, but a lot can happen and maybe nothing will happen in the end... depending on what the Kings decide to do.
How many of you have stepped back from the keyboard and realized how fantastic a time it is to be a Pelican fan? I mean the future is so bright I gotta wear shades right now!! I am so excited right now!!!!!!
Bulls also just let Hamilton walk. I think it's plausible.
I'm liking the tyreke deal more and more after seeing these contracts today
Am I the only one questioning getting Deng? I mean his minutes per game for his career is way above average, and had injuries...

Iguodala told @LesShapiro this yr he'd like to play PG. Got some time there w/Lawson out and played well including triple-double vs. Spurs
This made me burst out laughing for some reason.
Did Chase sign somewhere or is he still out there? Webster signed Iggy is gone. Who is left for us to look at the three.
Omri Casspi (R)
Austin Daye (R)
Luke Babbitt
those the only ones under 25 years old.....We really need to push for Mr. Brewer
I did question it but it is a good expiring
I really hope we somehow pull off trading Gordon to the Bulls for Butler and whatever salary to make it work. Rose, Gordon, and Deng is as good as any in the NBA and Gordon fits perfect next to Rose. Holiday/Evans/Butler would be a huge lineup with insane potential to become the best in the NBA.
Kings could be trying to sign Evans to trade Mclemore for Deng. Never know.
Anybody bring up that the Kings reportedly are targeting Andre Iguodala. Gotta help our chances. Also I don't care about having too many guards. If Gordon is healthy and productive why not keep him. No reason to force him out the door. Tyreke is pretty much just us hedging our bet and if all of our guards (Reke, Jrue, Gordon, Rivers etc...) work out it's a good problem to have.
that's not a bad contract. I hope we just don't sit around waiting Evans while everyone else gets signed. I do think the minute Dale has verbal contract excepted from Evans camp dominoes will fall fast and hard.
Based on quotes, I believe we made another move during the draft or shortly thereafter and the move involved a starting SF.
Pure speculation but doesn't this quote by Demps get you wondering? I dont know how you can keep this under wraps for this long, but when the Jrue deal is finalized it may have a surprise or be something completely separate.

I can tell you guys as much as I can. . . . I just can't speak on certain things now. Some things are still in the mix. Nothing has been finalized."

The Supervillain has us wrapped around his lil' finger.
So if they trade Gordon for Deng, how does this help their cap situation with getting Evans?
If that's the case it is purely just to dump Gordon's salary and IMO having Deng for one season doesn't accomplish much.
Reports say Kings are leaning against matching and Tyreke is leaning towards accepting.
