this board is ******* stupid sometimes
I think he is a bit , I mean you always see LeBron PKAY through injury , and he is always on te floor
You have no clue what his medical situation is or theirs. If you are a physician, which none of your posts indicate you are, you would know that lack data to diagnose, much less give an evaluation.
It is clear the answer to your question is "Yes, someone does: you." I am not sure you are serious, however. It is also possible you are posting for entertainment.
So, I suggest you start studying medicine if that really interests you, figure out better questions, or continue with your quest for entertainment if that is the goal now that you have a clear answer to your question.
Russell Westbrook. Has a dent. in his face fanoq! Tyreke has been playing through injury practically all year. INCLUDING tonight.
He's also had games this season and last where he's looked incredible. and mind you this guy isn't the face of the franchise nor is he a "superstar" by most standards. but he knows we need him and he's gutting it out. True, but a dent in the face?? how painful must that be!? especially as reckless as RW plays. I love AD so lets not get the wrong idea here.and I'm sure the coaches are making the call. But sometimes you have to fall on your sword. Especially during this part of the season. Whats there to save him for?? The offseason?
No I cant but This isn't rapid reaction. He's always out with nagging injuries. Chest contusion, sprained ankle, shoulder sprain. He was slapped in the face by austin rivers and missed games with a concussion. If he isn't soft by your standards what is your definition of soft?. I don't know his pain tolerance but if he isn't soft he's definitely fragile.
there is no discussion to be had here this thread should be taken out back and flogged
U mad? lol You do realize you're defending something that you have no evidence of. and you didnt answer my question nor did you provide evidence that he wasnt soft. or at least fragile.
:snacks:
Ok.
AD isn't soft. Try playing ball his way. He plays fearless. He needs to still put on 10-15 more llbs of muscle. He needs more upper body strength. His passing is improving and his jumper is impeccable. He just needs to continue improving his passing and develop more of a post game. IF AD gains weight, he probably will being so young, he can develop a solid post game and if this happens he will be completely unstoppable. SOFT???????? I'd love for AD to read this thread. The Brow is just getting started y'all!!!!!!
AD is injury prone. If this was Gordon, we'd be destroying him today. I don't blame him though. It's just the way the game is today. Agents and metrics control everything. If this were the 90's and we were contending for a playoff seed, he would have played. Contracts weren't guaranteed back then. You had to play to get paid. Now players have no urgency or the will to win because is just a money thing. I respect Westbrook and guys like him that put it on the line each and every night
This board has got to be full of some of the most ignorant, quick to jump to conclusion and ridiculous theory people of any NBA fan base. Have some optimism or positivity for a change. These guys are professionals and know what they are doing and what they have to do to keep their bodies healthy. You really don't think that A.D if he felt he could play on his ankle, wouldn't play?? For people that are so quick to praise the guy and call him the greatest are also so quick to jump on him and nag for the stupidest Sh*t!
The perfect scenario to explain our fan base's relationship with the Pelicans: girl (fans) that falls in love with a cute guy (Pelicans) after a short conversation, throws it at the dude to get his attention, dude leaves before she wakes up and doesnt call back, 3 days later he texts back saying "hey can we meet up", she goes out to get fitted for a wedding dress and calls a wedding planner, and when they meet up dude is like "I have herpes".
Stupidest... Take the emotion of out of it for a second. If this were any other player during this part of the season. ESPECIALLY EG you would be calling him every name in the book, and from what I've read over the years people have. You can't coddle a player forever. Then it becomes when is the right time for him to play through injury? I'm not saying put the man out there on one leg, with one arm, with one eye but everyone's injured one way or another at this point in the year. Say what you want about Tyreke but if he can walk he can play. We're conditioning AD to be soft.
Only if he isn't playing Tonight:D

I don't think he's "soft" but he sure as hell gets hurt alot. Call it bad luck. Not "soft".
lol Jimmer Time is the first poster that got banned on here in a while:hihi:
So playing with a shoulder sprain finger and wrist injuries, groin injury, hip injuries... I guess is not playing through injuries by your definition. I believe most of his injuries occur because he is still not used to his body. The guy can't even fall right yet.
I wrote in another thread that pops did the same thing with Tim Duncan. He sat him out of the playoffs and they lost, even though Duncan felt like he could play if the team needed him to. He told Tim that he means more to that franchise than just a run in the playoffs and that he was the future of the franchise. Ppl bashed pops for that. But That one action right there won Tim's loyalty to the coach and the team. Because they cared more about his livelihood more than the game. So ppl treat these decision like it a video game like you can reset the game if something worse happens.
He was out with a jammed toe too I believe. To those examples you pointed out in you're first sentence, yes thats what he's supposed to do. Being the face of the franchise comes with certain responsibility. I would never want the dude to play with a Durant like injury. Every game is a risk for injury. And the spurs had already established a winning culture by that time. I respect the Pop example you brought up so let me counter with this question. If he's still missing crucial games with these type of injuries next year will you feel the same way as you feel now?
He's 21 years old - sure it'd be cool to make the playoffs but no way we can take down the Warriors. Play it safe, we (hopefully) have a lot more years of AD where we'll be a legit contender if everyone can stay healthy. No reason to risk further damage to play a game here or a game there. Also as he puts more weight & muscle on the injuries will most likely decrease
We need to force him to play through injuries. It worked for Durant. /s
Tyreke is playing tonight..
Youre ignoring the point. Understandable

I just love how some on here bash Davis for being soft when most of them are probably too unfit to even run 1 mile.
Once he fills out those little niggles won't happen.
The kid is 22 FFS!!!!
It's the right move to sit. We'd all love to see them make the playoffs. Not at the expense of his health, though. If they ran him out there with any kind of significant risk in an effort to run down the 8 spot and let Golden State drum us, then all should be fired. Thankfully, they're not going that route.
Soft no. I think you can start making a case for injury prone, I don't think it's a question of toughness.
This thread is the gift that keeps on giving.
What now?
Why anyone would think he is soft is beyond me. He's played through some nagging injuries for sure. It isn't always his call whether he plays or not after sustaining an injury. There is so much more that goes into it rather than the cut and dry of AD saying "I'm hurt I'm not playing tongith". Now, with that said. Yes he def seems to be injury prone at this point in his very young career. Hopefully he plays a 75+ game season soon.
Honestly, i wouldn't mind seeing him hit a testosterone cycle and lift for the whole summer. He's not soft, but i wouldn't mind seeing him a big more bulky. That said, his athleticism and quickness probably can't coexist with a lot of added bulk without injury. NBA players endure a lot over a season.
I think he's great the way he is though, obviously. We just need a better system around him.
As Andre Miller's teammate said when asked how Miller has continued to play and stay healthy at 38 he said something to the tune of "he doesnt jump a lot."
Davis is not at an ideal weight or strength for his size yet. Then add in the fact he plays above the rim and sacrifices his body a lot. He also plays a lot of minutes and touches the ball a decent amount. Plus we don't exactly have CP3 throwing those beautiful placed lobs to Davis, we have Evans who has almost killed Davis on a number of occasions. I would be surprised to see players who play like that at his size not miss at least 10 games a season.
I think as he continues to fill out his frame, feels comfortable using his post game, as his awareness/IQ continues to grow and builds that three point shot he is seemingly eying this offseason, I think the injuries will come less frequently. He's still a young guy trying to find out the ins and outs of the league. I expect that some risks he has taken with his body he will learn aren't worth it in time.
Sof.....nvm
I'm fairly certain you have proven this to be a joke that is not funny.
Find a new way to fail to be humorous but still make people laugh or you will just likely be labelled a boring fool.
He is soft
