Yea I'll never forget that game 7 vs the spurs in the 2nd rd. dam that felt great man. I just want a bonafide playoff contender man. The nba playoffs are intense!!!!!

I think Monty could of said something along the lines of ",yea Anthony has def an all star type of year but I don't decide if he goes or not we can leave that up to the other coaches" just something promoting his guy. But I'm not upset he didn't. Doesn't really matter anyway.
Even Zach Lowe see this teams schemes are a mess and it come from coaching not players stop giving that man excuses
@theharryshearer Yup. Lots of things, on both ends, need some re-designing. Also: what an honor getting a tweet question from you.

Monty isn't the sole cause of our failures, but he is definately a factor. I can understand what Monty is think with his defensive scheme: he wants to utilize his players to their fullest capacity. The problem with that: I'm not sure we have the personnel to defend his way quite yet. The areas where Monty grinds my gears: rotations, game management, and offensive production. Now that everyone is injured, we can't fairly evaluate him and it sucks. From what I saw though, we really struggled to build any chemistry on offense. The ball didn't move, players were running like headless chickens, and our shot selection was abysmal. Is that Monty's fault? I cannot say for sure, but having seen him here for four years I would not be surprised if he was a culprit.
Side note: Balls- your sig is so funny. All I have to say is it made me giggle like a school girl.
I thought sure I heard Hale say last night or maybe it was the game before that Monty was going to get on the phone to talk up AD to other coaches. Is that what you all are talking about? Monty says AD deserves to at least be a backup so why wouldn't he make mention of him to other coaches? I thought that's what I heard her say. Maybe not though.

Monty has proved nothing since he's been year and accomplished nothing.
Ahhh I see where the misinterpretation was. "CP3 playoff run" != W/L record during the playoffs.
I was referring to the time span Chris Paul was here where we were in the playoffs.
Agree. Putting Rita in control would be like putting Chad Shinn in control of the franchise. I have to wonder about something though

Okay nevermind, I see in an article he said he wouldn't be calling coaches. I must have heard Hale say something else then.
Chandler was way more efficient than Okafor especially offensively. He gave CP3 alot of easy assists and teams had to watch for that. Raw numbers don't tell the story on how Chandler was way more impactful than Okafor. Also Peja was a force that year and CP3 was so much better as well.
yea i agree but I'm just pointing out monty could of done more with what he had at the time. the west injury didn't help fopr the playoffs but landry stepped up and averaged west reg season #'s in the playoffs. minus him tho that roster was really deep monty had. his rotations that year were absolutely atrocious as well. sticking it to thornton and pondexter cause they were young. I'm just sick of it man. withey should be playing 25 min a game at this point ATLEAST. considering the guys on the roster at his position. especially considering the few min he does get all he does is produce.
I decided to check the advanced stats and chandler was slightly better not way more efficient. No way no how. Here is the breakdown.
Chandler/okafor
Ts% 63-59
Efg% 62-57
Orb% 13-12
Drb% 26-24
Trb% 19-18
Ast% 4-3
Blk% 2-5
Stl% 1-1
Tov% 15-15
Usg% 14-15
Ortg% 122-112
Drtg% 104-102
Ows 6-3
Dws 4-4
Ws 10-7
Ws/48 .172-.136
I don't claim to be an expert on advanced stats like these but looking at those numbers the drop off is very small if any. These are the numbers for the 2 playoff runs for each.
I am surprised till now there are still people defending Monty...
It's reasonable to say maybe he should stay till the end of this season. But I think AD deserves to get more wins and stay happy with a new coach.
We are not healthy, in my mind Monty is the partly the reason for the heath issue. If he used young players more, we may have a healthier team now. Except for Ryno, both Smith's and Holiday's injury were sort of accumulated things. What's worse, after those injuries, he has developed a new standard of putting players of court: age orders. That's the only explanation I could come up with for putting Steamer there first, then Ajinca and Withey at last. Maybe that's also why Brian Roberts is start now. Is there an least average age limit in NBA rules that I didn't notice?
I blame Monty for ruining this site. Rabble Rabble!
