Can he be good? Sure. Hard work, dedication...I mean even GV has made himself into a starting pg.

But I don't see Bazz being another Melo (as some have said).

I don't think anyone has said he'll be another Melo, just that he can score in a lot of different ways like Melo.

Ucla has such a stagnant offense. Its just really poor.

You mean running and either turning it over or frantically shooting is a bad strategy lol?

Two guys in one of the draft threads called him comparable to Melo.

Sadly Bazz's play is turning into a self fulfilling prophecy. Dude needs to step up or watch his stock continue to sink like a stone.

Dude is Jim Jackson more than Melo in terms of anything. Dude can score at will when he is on, but UCLA fans will tell ya that that occurs few and far between.

Their system is just horrible. How Bazz averaged 17 on 45 % shooting as a sf on this team is a miracle. I never said hes melo but he is versatile. I think a better team would showcase him better

It certainly is tonight.

I think he went to the team he thought would give him a chance to showcase his talents at a big time school, in a big time city. He wanted it, and now he isn't performing accordingly.

Remember this the same system that has spit out NBA star after NBA star, and has gone deep into the tourney multiple times under Howland.

If he is failing it is more on him than the system.

Wait which prospects has UCLA spit out lately ? Westbrook and Collison under the same coach though? I seriously don't know.

Collison, Holiday, Love, Westbrook, Afflalo. Not all that impressive of a list.

It's not bad, but for a school w their tradition it's ok. I also don't remember many of them exactly blowing it up in college.

Sort of. It's been awhile since lsu has been relevant lol. Just don't have time to follow nba and NCAA to be honest.

This is the time of year when the NBA takes a back seat for me. 1)we are usually out of the playoff hunt. 2) more passion in the tourney. 3) you can expect the unexpected.

The only time of the year the NBA takes center stage in my sports world is after the saints season. And after the tourney is over.

But Bazz shrinks in big games. If he came here he could work as the 3rd wheel (being able to count on the other big 2), but he isn't the face of a franchise. He is Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, or Horace Grant.

Yeah but that's what people have been saying about this draft. Outside of mclemore, there's not franchise level talents. Everyone has major flaws but could be third banana. I mean no disrespect by this but you seem to really just dislike bazz's game in general?

I think Bazz will be fine in the NBA, but more as a third banana like Horace Grant, Bosh, or Derek Fisher, as opposed to the Scottie Pippen, Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant Robin role.

You're the one who brought up "big" anything with the third wheel to a big 2 thing. ;) I hate the term big three too.
