Ha, he's been waiting for the advantageous time for 5 years now.

I'm just glad that he's back for some training camp/pre-season. there's no other player on this team who can emulate his type of play so there would be a lot of confusion the first few games trying to get used to him handling the ball more & jrue handling it less
I'm upset as anyone with the current SF situation, but please share with the class what Demps could have done after the Asik deal in regards to addressing the hole at SF. His hands were tied, nothing can be done until we free up some space which isn't happening until February at the earliest.
1st of all there is a large % of people who believe Gordon will opt out to get a longer term deal. Personally I do not agree, especially with this new TV money coming soon. But if Gordon is playing like many think he will, you trade him while his value is high. He would be expiring the following year and as long as he's healthy could be seen as a commodity.
If we are in the playoff race then no absolutely not. But if injuries occur elsewhere or we are under-performing then sure. Other wise you wait until the offseason to try and move him. I'd think we want to keep Asik around, Davis just not even questioned. Demps already refered to Holiday as our future at PG. So if we want to have the space to make significant improvements (really only hole would be SF), then one of Ryno, Gordon, and Evans has to be moved. I don't see Ryno or Evans being that guy, maybe you feel differently. But something has to happen because Gordon isn't getting an extension here.
I think the odds on Eric Gordon getting an extension here are much higher than most want to believe. Because of the new TV deal i think the chances of him opting out are slim to none. That means he's here two more seasons. I also believe this team will be a playoff team and they will not trade him unless they get equal or better value back. Alot can change over the course of two seasons, hopefully that means more success on the court for the team. To me that significantly increases that odds he gets and extension here.
I assumed you were being hypothetical since Gordon isn't going anywhere before mid season and most likely summer. The fact still stands that SF is much bigger of a need than Replacing Gordon with another 2. Especially when we already have a great backcourt in Reke/Jrue.
Man i just wish we could trade gordon for wilson chandler, a back court of tyreke jrue and chandler would be great
So tell me who was available at SF that year?
Don't say Iggy because he is too old to say that he was the future at SF.
Dell already had our future PG and PF.
Gordon was/will never be in the plans at SG so Dell sured that up by signing Evans.
Again this year......who was available at SF?
This is why he signed our future C.
Next season there is a **** load of available talent at SF and we will have our starting 5
to move forward with.
We ain't going to go deep into the playoffs this season....so baby steps.
2015/16 will be the team we have around for a few years to come.
I'll answer your question with a question. Do you think that Miller, Babbit, X. Henry, Aminu, Salmons, et al were the best that this team could do over the past years? Do you not think that Dell could have grabbed anybody else to fill that hole until 2016 when all of these free agent SF's that will be knocking the door down to play here are available?
Also, say for instance the Pels do make a run in the playoffs and Gordon opts in because this is a playoff team. Also, say for instance that Gordon re-signs (the fans don't want him here but that doesn't mean the front office doesn't). Where will that leave the Pels as far as a SF is concerned?
This is what im saying.... Reke is the shooting guard that these people seem to be forgetting we have... We replace gordon with tyreke and go get a high quality true small forward, and adjust your bench accordingly, hello people....
PG: Jrue
SG: Reke
SF: ?
PF: AD
C: Asik
Bench: Ryno, Jimmer, Rivers, Ajinca, Babbit, Miller, Withey, Young, Russ, possibly Salmons if he stays but he might retire after this year..
Would love to see this....Just wondering who we can go out and get to be our starting small forward. We should see what this team can give us this year and if we make the playoffs then great but we still would then upgrade the SF in the offseason when guys get off contracts, unless there is an offer for gordon or an opportunity to upgrade comes around during the season, if gordon plays well that very well could happen. The hundreds of rumors they've tried to move him all last year and this summer were not all true, nor were they all untrue. they want to get a SF and i think gordon is the one player in the rotation that is expendable at this point, the front office knows this just as much as we do...
