The stats reflect reality, my man.. and if your opinion or hypothesis or whatever was true it would've shown in Indiana, a team that is starved (relatively speaking) for ballhandlers and offense creator types.

I do the MKG trade because of all the cap space it brings. Work with him on the bench as a backup SF for a year, if his shot doesn't develop trade him next summer.
Would love to have Stephenson as a 6th man.
I think Lance is a 3. I think he's more of a 3 than anyone else not named Aminu would be on our roster. I do realize he's only 6'5, but he has a 6'10 wingspan, is strong as hell, is good enough to defend all 3's in the NBA, and is a good rebounder. I know we went this route with Tyreke and it wasn't great, but I think Lance at the 3 is much, much less a stretch than Tyreke.
Reality in one situation isn't that in another. Which is my point.
I was surprised that Stephens usage rate was so low. However if you watch his game holding the ball is were he shines. He's not a great shooter and he's not great off ball.
Also dominating the ball doesn't mean you take a bunch of shots or get a lot of assist either it means you are the primary ball handler the majority of the time you are in the game. You can do that and still have a low usage rate.
Lance might be a head case, but he is extremely talented, and your allowed 1 head case on a team.
Can create for himself, good 3 point shooter, good defender, good rebounder, good passer.
He's kind of tyreke like but with a 3 ball.
we have our core, we know what we need, does lance address our needs? not really. It is as simple as that for me
I seriously doubt we get him. I'd be left scratching my head and really be worried.
For how talented he is, I wouldn't be excited about acquiring him at all.
He also gave me tons of other info. A lot of inside info, about what actually happens in the NBA behind the scenes and I specifically asked him if teams actually tank or not. He gave me an interesting answer, just don't want to make it public on here.
This thread finally became entertaining :hihi: pity all happens when i'm sleeping :hihi:
I honestly can't remember. Was Lance thought to be a head case any previous year? It seems to me this all came about due to this playoff run where Lance appears to have had a division with the team. I don't know if I'm ready to call him a head case simply because he grew tired of the team and acted out a bit.
I'd say he needs a change of scenery but I wouldn't say he's on the level of Bynum. Unless I'm just not remembering something.
That's not to say I want him. I don't see him as a 3 and unless we plan on moving Reke and Gordon we just don't have the spot for him.
Honestly, I think his progression to head case is sort of progressing. I remember it being muttered last year and taking full shape this year. At the end of the day I think a lot of this stems from him being on a contract year and trying to make extra money. that also begs the question on, if he gets his money, how will that effect him. Is he going to think, this is the guy they paid for so now i need to amplify it? I dunno. It's a risk for sure and TBH it'd be at a position I don't think we need to take a risk at. I say, take a risk at C or SF; but SG? Pass.
Indy needs a PG.
If they want Jrue for Stephenson, do you pull the trigger and start Tyreke @ PG?
