Down 4 at the half. Not ideal, but not terrible deficit either.

Down 4 at the half. Not ideal, but not terrible deficit either.
Why do refs hate centers unless they are a superstar...
NAW is 0-7 from the field so far. If he shoots better in 2nd half we should be good.
We have little ball movement and when we do it is the terrible bounce pass into traffic.
NAW is heating up! Man this kid is going to be fun to watch!
Game is back on ESPN2
Getting frustrated with how many open looks Hayes gets and no one passes to him except when he's actually not open.
The game is now back on ESPN 2.
The game just switched channels without any notification.
It's my biggest pet peeve about Summer League honestly. Happens less with NAW on the floor, but still occasionally. If it's Carr running the show, forget about it.
He'll cut, or roll, or just sprint the floor, be within 6 feet of the basket with nobody close to him, and by the time the ball handler notices he's there, the defender has caught up.
Lonzo wouldn't do that
Great save and pass to keep it in bounds by NAW.
No matter how many times we get hacked, it is never called. But don’t breathe on the opponent or it is flagrant.
On a separate note, I’m ill and fatigued with the one-handed passes into a crowd of four and the general lack of basketball IQ. You have a 3 on 1 break and you play hero ball and miss a layup.
We are losing because we don’t pass the ball out of double and even triple teams, pass up open shots to invite a contested shot, and show no hustle on defense. Grizz are able to get inside each time.
Oh my GOD. Hayes just kept going up and up.
Big part of the reason we're so bad tonight, aside from just fatigue and the usual Summer League woes: the main guys have played less.
Even if they played every single minute from now until the end, they would finish with
NAW: 28 minutes total
Hayes: 26 minutes total
Louzada: 24 minutes total.
And, of course, they won't play the entire 4th quarter. So it looks like rather than holding them out for rest, the coaching staff are just limiting their minutes. That's fine with me.
Hayes just looked like framing Durant dribbling the ball down the court. This kid is going to be ridiculous once he adds some strength and weight. He looks like a giant out there. I really think he is going to develop into a top 3 center. I can wait to see this kid giving AD problems in a year or 2.
Three defenders on Dawkins but no need to pass; I’ll just lose control of the ball out of bounds.
I've seen enough. Let Hayes run point. Lol
We aren’t a good half court team in summer league either. I’ve got my eyes on you Gentry
These guys aren’t in normal game shape and have played a good bit of games while being on a back to back after going into OT the night before. Our guys just don’t have the legs they normally do which has them playing sloppy.
We aren’t out of this one yet!
Tony Carr...**♂️
Only NAW, Hayes, and Kenrich know how to run a break.
Carr, Blueitt, Cheatham, all of them just look bamboozled
That's his best athletic trait. I know we've seen some pretty crazy leaps from him, but his explosion really isn't on the same level as his fluidity and smoothness. Usually when people say a big moves ''like a wing'', they're exaggerating a little, or being lazy in description. Hayes really does move like a wing. A good one, too. Fast feet, long strides, good hip mobility, all the things you'd wanna see.
Cheatham was not fouled there?! But Hayes was called for a foul at the end of the first half without contacting the player.

He keeps developing at just a reasonable pace and ... wow
We should stop saying that Jaxson has to get stronger and start wondering what's going to happen if he does. The Capela/JaVale comp doesn't fit because neither of them have ever been able to do things like this. There aren't any centers who can

Didi is so fun
For years this team never had anything but average wings. We now have a potential alp star in Ingram, maybe the best backup we have ever had with Keinrich, what looks like a future star in NAW, and now a very promising 20 year old from Brazil who can be a very good role player.
Fantastic spin move by NAW
Hayes denies the shot!
QUICK feet by Hayes. That was such quick twitch to get the kicked ball there
I cannot stand Carr being on the court. He never passses.
Carr finally got penetration on a drive nad have no idea what to do with it. Just threw up a terrible floater, clanked it.
My God Carr thinks he’s Kobe.
Got a 7ft weapon and can't get any looks.
Is it me or is Carr terrible?
There is no way Hayes is 6’11 like he measured out. This kid had to hit another growth spurt he looks like a giant compared to everyone else. I would say he is 7’-7’1 and very likely still growing. AD measured at 6’10 and is now over 7’..
I think the issue with Carr and people like him (or at least one of the issues) is that they think they need to score a lot to get a chance at a contract, so even when a pass is the EASIER option, and you see them see it, they jack up the shot instead.
They don't realise that a coach or executive would much rather see someone do everything right, and finish with 10 points, than play like a selfish idiot and end up with 20.
WoW! Hayes is a freak! That was one of the most athletic put backs I have ever seen from a big!
How did Hayes DO that? lol
He measured at 6'11.5'' in shoes, and honestly, 0.5'' is the kind of difference just the shoes you're wearing can impact. He could easily be 7'0'' in the shoes he's wearing today, and given that you generally keep growing until you're around 21, don't be shocked if he finishes at 7'2 or something.
HAYYYYYYYYES
THE EFFORT. THE HUSTLE. THE TOUCH. THE HANDS. THE GOD.
