Hope for the best. But it's a zero risk signing.
Darius miller? Really? Lol. From swaggy to miller.what's next...from bledsoe to jimmer?
Pat Young next?
I am ok with Miller coming back.
I know everyone here already said no... just giving more information
Pacers will use stretch provision on Monta Ellis, per source. Ellis's remaining $11.2M salary will be stretched over the next 5 years.

I'm confused - Ellis has 2nd year player option which totals $23M owed - How does this work? He has been placed on 48h wavers for full salary or pacers will have to pay if he clears? What about player option, do Pacers owe that as well?

Remember: Monta's contract is a quirky one where the $11.7 player option for 18-19 doesn't count against the Pacers here. https://t.co/EPmfccxRe1

Oh wow. WHAT A BIG SIGNING.
Love the Darius Miller signing. Looks like he has improved quite a bit and I'm someone who will always bet on a hard worker. Look at what Leonard did over the year with hard work. Not saying Miller will be Leonard but he could have turned himself into a very good bench player from a guy who was a toss up earning an end of the bench spot. Always liked Millers game but it came down to consistency and confidence which hopefully he has improved on. Could be a solid 3 and D option for us or we cut him being a 0 risk move.
I still have faith in QPon and believe he will be a solid contributor on the team next year. There must be a reason why he was kept around as I'm sure the team has a good idea of how he looks and what they expect. He had a long knagging injury that if resolved should result in the QPon we all know. He's in his prime and has had plenty of time to work on his shot. Getting anything out of QPon is a huge plus and IMO he's going to be a contributing piece to our team.
Celtics have been shopping Smart, Crowder & Bradley today as they try to clear room for Hayward. Story w/ @wojespn https://t.co/bzGpB4UCEj

This does feel like typical Dell though. The hope was that somehow scoring Boogie was going to shake him out of his shell, make him into an actual NBA mover and shaker rather than the king of the d-league and scrap heap callup. He may be a nice guy, but this is his last chance to prove he shouldn't be the GM of a D/G-league franchise rather than an NBA one.
The Celtics offered Jae Crowder to late lottery teams leading up to June's draft, per league sources. Boston asked for pick, young player.

I really think we can get away with a 2020 1st as being much more valuable than a 2018 1st in the mind of Danny Ainge. Flip that to him for Crowder, then use our 2018 1st for a guy like Lin or Bledsoe (plus swap rights in 2019). Sign a big (Olynyk) with the MLE.
I would absolutely love to get Crowder. Man he would be a perfect fit for us on the wing and have even less pressure on him with more open scoring opportunities. Players very good defense, solid rebounder, good FT shooter, and took his game to another level with an improved 3 point shot hitting right at 40% this season along with a very respectable FG% of 46. Crowder reminds me a lot of Butler and Leonard before they took their game to an elite scoring level. All we would need Crowder to be is exactly what he is now and I'm sure at just 26 his best basketball has yet to be seen. Just would hate to give up much more then a 1st when I want as much assets possible to pursure Wall when the time comes.
I think Boston had a chance to do something special. Yes they have a lot of talent but they could have assembled a serious squad. Not only could they have landed George but IMO with their assets Myles Turner would have been attainable as well. If I was Boston I would have went all in on George and Turner while bringing in Hayward. Turner is exactly what that team needs at the center position and would be a perfect fit allowing Horford to play the 4. Thomas/George/Hayward/Horford/Turner would have been a seeious championship team putting them as the top dogs in the East. All along I was wondering why they weren't pursuing Turner is a package with George which would have brought in some youth as well.
AP is told that Miami and James Johnson are continuing to move near a deal. It's been expected, and still is expected.

Projected West hierarchy by Vegas over/under:
— Ben DuBose (@BenDuBose) July 6, 2017
GS (67.5)
HOU, SA (55.5)
OKC, MIN (46.5)
NO (43.5)
DEN, MEM (42.5)
UTA is currently off board https://t.co/HBPsDny9cR
Not surprising as tough as the West will be, that 44-38 would get you the sixth seed.
Well, my big question is this... What's Darius Miller's NEW NBA 2k Overall Rating?
So, uh, guys, did we trade for Bledsoe yet?

Even better... We signed Darius MF Miller!

Jazz, Celtics engage on Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade for Jae Crowder. Latest story with @ramonashelburne
I have been saying Hayward was a lock to the Celtics and always thought it was going to be a sign and trade so Hayward could get more $ while the Jazz would get Crowder in return. Made sense for both parties but maybe the Celtics are looking for a pick for some value in return for Crowder.
Crowder is immensely valuable. I don't see the Celtics just dumping him to clear space. There is surely a market for him. On the other side of the ledger, the Jazz have a huge hole at SF and would get a huge trade exemption if they can do a deal with the Celtics. This is sort of cruel to say, but the Jazz are losing Hayward and will also have to give the Celtics assets if they want the Celtics to play ball. Problem is they already gave up a 1st to get Rubio.
I'd be very surprised if this gets done.
Miller looked good, not much explosiveness but his shot looks good. If his defence is solid he could be our missing 3 and d player! :happy2:
Or not haha. But hey it's the offseason, might as well have fun with it.
Throw everything we have at Bradley and Crowder.
Solo + 1st(2 if we can) + 2 2nd's + diallo.....
Try to find 3rd team to take solo and give celtics usefull big
Holiday
Bradley
Crowder
Davis
Cousins
Now thats a team.
I find it funny that so many Pelican's fans have talked themselves into thinking that Bledsoe, or any big time player for that matter, is a foregone conclusion this offseason. We have zero assets to trade, we have players with big contracts that no one wants. We have very little cap space to work with and yet everyone here keeps thinking that every time they open their browser something big is going to happen. Possibly next year, but this year it's Jrue and done, with a sprinkling of mediocre players here and there.
I accept the reality that the Pelicans are a small market team.
We are lucky to have a NBA team in New Orleans.
When we have a lower ceiling budget to spend it is what it is.
Mr. Benson does enjoy the games. He attends most of the home games so he knows what's going on no doubt.
Yes as fans we want to compete but we just don't have the firepower.
But that's okay. We win games we are supposed to loose and loose games we should have a chance to win.
It's great entertainment to attend the Pelicans games in the Blender.
Emotions get high wanting to get players. It's nice to watch the summer league players develop in our future players.
We had plenty though our time slip away. Seth Curry was one we should have held on to.
I like Crawford and feel he will step up big time this coming year.
The smoke is almost settled on FA. It's time to start building a squad with what we have in house.
Phoenix has said they want to go young or take on bad contracts for picks. They have not said they will give away their good players. To get Bledsoe would likely take a young player and a 1st rounder. We have no valuable young talent. Maybe Phoenix will think differently. Bledsoe has missed over 100 games the last 4 seasons, so I would hope we do not offer multiple 1st rounders.
