Alright. Can we calm it down?

Idk about that maybe we can get Grant for a 2nd round pick and another piece because Sixers are going to be stacked in his positions. He is a 3 and can play 4. Simmons, Covington, Thompson, Noel, Saric, Wood, Holmes, and Luwawu play his position. Also they are rumored to be after Barnes so they will have to many players playing the 3 and 4.
Can we just get rid of tyreke evans first :)
To make Ennis and Frazier RFA, firstly Dell has to give them QO. Before the end June.
Doing it we will have ability to match by using cap space.
Curious why Dell didn't do it already.
He will not risk anything or tide his money.
Maybe he is waiting for Gee decision because he needs every penny to work with.
Cap holds of above mentioned are little more than minimum...
Ryno just bought a house for 5,48m in California...
Kings or Lakers?
The Trail Blazers on Tuesday extended qualifying offers to Meyers Leonard, Maurice Harkless and Allen Crabbe, ensuring the three players will be restricted free agents beginning July 1. By extending the qualifying offers, the Blazers reserve the right to match any offer the players receive on the free agent market, which begins July 1. A qualifying offer is 125% of the players’ previous salary.
Yea but they got him early second round and got him to sign a 4 year cheap deal, our 2nd round pick is not close to equal value. Hes not a 3&D guy, he shoots a pretty poor percent, I dont want him personally, I'm just speculating where the talks about such a trade might start, and I think Tyreke salary dump if we thought we could turn Jarami into a starting SF in a year is the baseline.
for those who want Reke gone, could we trade with BKN for Jack? he is only guaranteed for 500k. haven't seen it mentioned, apologies if it has - blinded by the barnes vs bazemore.
I don't know what their cap situation is, but they're a team that I have considered as a possibility to take Reke off our hands. They have zero assets to acquire anyone of value in a trade, outisde of Lopez and Thad Young. No picks and no other good players. Heck, I don't even know how much value Brook has, with his injury history. If they completely strike out in FA, I could see them getting desperate enough to just take Tyreke off our hands. They need any decent player they can get at this point.
I was talking with a 76ers fan this morning and asked him if I could interest him in Tyreke Evans and his opinion was hell no. He also said he thinks no one would want him. He is just a fan but interesting to see someone who has no ties to the Pelicans opinion of Tyreke. I am not in Louisiana so he really is an outside perspective. Maybe he isn't as moveable as we think.
Fans are fans, they circlejerk over dumb stuff. Tyreke has been injured but hes clearly a talent upgrade for them. They arent under pressure to make the playoffs, they need to add ~40 mil in salaries this offseason, so taking on expirings for next year buys them time and doesnt force them to give long contracts to marginal talents now. I see plenty of incentive for Philli to look at Tyreke for cheap. I'm also content with him here because he will make us a playoff team if hes at his best and Gentry finds a way to use him effectively. I dont hate Tyreke I just dont want him to be the primary ball handler or get in the way of Jrue and AD's synergy. 6th man role with 25-30mins a game and im happy. You just have to also be open top shedding him for something you think may be an asset for where the team is heading, even if it seems like a 'lost value' trade now.
I haven't heard David Lee's name mentioned, Could he be a backup PF on this team at a fair cost? Do you guys think he's washed up?
Was thinking Lee, Lee, Turner, Williams, Dudley, Henderson could be our options unless we trade TE and open up room. We need more than one player.
Let's keep the argument going, some people only use facts and stats and some people only project. Neither are wrong but to me it has to be a happy medium. I'm looking for a player I think can get better and help the team or would keep his trade value. Players that have the stats and are good are probably not leaving their team so most FA we looking to sign we have to project. As much as we talk about Barnes getting 22 mil, I think he would be easier to trade if he doesn't pan out.
As for Frazier and Ennis, I doubt Dell gives them a qualifying offer because he will sign them with the exceptions. I believe you can split an exception up so I'd guess he is going to spend the cap money then sign a couple cheap players with exception.
He'll be easy to trade is exactly why Dell Demps matched that Eric Gordon contract. Gordon was young! Remind me how that worked out.
There's a difference between using stats to project and making stuff up to fit your argument. The Harrison Barnes supporters fall in the latter group. I've talked to enough Warriors writers; every single one is terrified of paying Barnes the max. Every. Single. One.
Barnes will get the max because of restricted free agency (which is a thing that exists) and a market dying for his type if not his production. Because in order to get him teams have to make an offer they don't think Golden State will match. And because some GM thinks Barnes will do more with a greater role. An NBA GM betting big on Barnes is a telegraphed mistake in an industry where GMs routinely make this exact kind of mistake.
Per Marc Stein:
Utah is making G Trey Burke available via trade, league sources say, after the recent deal for George Hill and with Dante Exum coming back.
