Its not really ideal. You want to instill some winning culture, so losing like this with key players is not what you want. But at the same time, we can't afford to win games for the sake of our pride. We need a transcendent player. The odds are much higher if you suck. We have too much talent to be this bad, but we don't have that guy. It sucks that we may take ourselves out of the running at some point.
When all else fails embrace the tank. But we could screw that up too. Our GM sure is in no rush to make trades or change. They just let Willie out there to fry the team. Sacramento said that not happening here. Fired coach after a practice.
If the GM is fine with it, the Coach and Owner possibly know this season is a wash and to look next year. Not else sure what could be done. Could rage on wanting to remove Willie Green as the coach but if only the fans having issues with him and Management doesn't. He could just stick around for the future.
Not one damn move Grif has made that could have salvaged the season when this started going downhill. At least attempt to save the season? Too late now. Embrace the tank. Front office obviously has embraced the tank.
The coach should not get another look. I'll be fair to Willie in the sense that I think the players have given up on the season due to the circumstances. But he failed his audition and needs to be the first to go. The record is inexcusably poor and it's not worth taking the chance on him.
It would be much better to fire WG now so we can get a look at Borrego as not to make the same mistake we did with Finch
You'd have to convince the fans to stick with a sucky team for a bit. I think it's the right thing to do, but it's whether our GM and owner stand for it or not. I can see us going out to win a bunch of pointless games and grinding out results when it doesn't matter. I hope we just embrace where we are at this point and look to next season when we hopefully get our franchise guy that can elevate us.
Clippers teased us. That was close. Good win for the tank. Hey an L is an L .
Pels fell to the Heat, onto the next game.
Our rookie won rookie of the month, how exciting.
Jose will be back tonight. We might actually win these next 2.
Updated the record. Yay
We won, always exciting.
Jose is a difference maker. CJ having a career night didn't hurt.
The back to back win.
Did someone order a 10th place, win the first play in game but lose the 2nd game in a close fashion pyrrhic victory season? Because that's what we're all eating this year, lads.
We're 11 games behind 10th place (Minnesota). And 10 games behind 11th place (Sac). We're not going to make that up.
Flattened odds. We're probably going to be one of the bottom 5 teams so it probably doesn't matter.
Yay?
I'm not sold the team will be able to stay healthy enough for that. If healthy it's possible.
I would be happy to take a season where somehow everyone gets healthy going down the stretch and we somehow miraculously get into the playoffs. But then Griff will be tempted to run it back. In all honesty though, I just want to see the team fully healthy for a few months to see what they can do. We've never actually seen it before. It would also lift trade values.
I don't want playoffs. We will get bopped hard. A 10th seed is not worth it with Willie Green at the helm. I fully expect us to just miss the playoffs which is the worst possible scenario.
.500 probably doesn't get us the 10th seed, even though currently we'd be tied for 10th with that record. To end at .500 the Pels would have to go 34-12 (.739) for the rest of the season (not even the Celtics have that win rate). There's zero chance that happens. It's only about lottery seeding at this point.
Zion is questionable tonight and is a GTD.
Murray is also a GTD with a sore elow that he played through for a triple double in the last game. He will likely go.
Trey and BI are the only ones listed as OUT tonight.
500 the rest of the way seems pretty unlikely. We have 46 games left. That would put us at.30 and 52. That's 14th place last year. We don't have to worry about making the playoffs unless we somehow become a good team and I doubt that's happening.

This is me after continuing to be a Saints fan for about 45 years and a Hornets/Pels fan since they arrived.
LMAO
Y’all thought beating the Wizards and getting Zion back would cure everything, Good one!
Tank on!
Onward to the next game
That might have been the worst NBA game I have ever attended...and that's including sitting through a 0-12 run many years ago (12-game package). At least we might have been in a few of those games. At some point, and that might be now, the fan base just stops caring and doesn't show up. There were about 75 people in the upper bowl.
No chance bro. The team as constructed isn't built to compete for a playoff spot... let alone a title. And as much as I'm a "players play" guy... it seems the team has tuned Willie totally out. Blow this thing up... Trade all assets. Keep a few young studs that we got as a foundation (TM3, Missi and Herb). Tear it down to the studs and begin the rebuild. Watching this team is depressing.
I'd be for trading Herb also. His value will never be higher. He's not THAT young (he'll be 27 next year) and could probably net us a few firsts.
