JJ my god...
JJ my god...
Can we just trade JJ. Useless
JJ is useless if his shot isn’t falling.
7/13 from three stings hard.
Our defense usually improves as the game goes on but it never matters because everyone gets their chance to find their range early when we can't be bothered.
How bad are we defensively?
Detroit came into tonight's game...
...29th in FG %
...26th in 3 PT %
...24th in Scoring
...26th in Rebounding.
Oh, and this is the second of a back to back for them.
saben lee > kira... our draft picks not named zion suck
JJ is officially unplayable.
There's got to be a point where the team can't lie to themselves about this anymore, right? Like, a point where they just have to accept that it's not good enough.
It's not like we start a bunch of 38 year old 6'0 guys with negative wingspans who can't move. We don't have the roster to be an elite defense but there's no justification for it being this bad.
Well, Thank you Detroit. You guys stop spamming threes.
Kira might end up being JAXSON 2.0 (the economy size)
Why is JJ still on floor. No defense and has hit a shot yet.
Why is JJ still in the rotation? What is wrong with Stan?
JJ wants out, so do it already
JJ is responsible for yet another terrible performance. He’s the new Alvin. He absolutely can’t do anything but cause Ls.
It's so strange because when he's playing within himself (as he occasionally does) he still has an impact on offense even without his shot falling: that's what a reputation gets you, and he's still capable of doing the small things like guard flare screening and such.
The problem is that he's had a weird proportion of games this year, far more than usual, where he's just taking really inappropriate shots at weird times, and it has the impact of not only cratering our offense, but also leading to defensive mismatches in transition. It's so painful.
You can't even use the excuse that you're show-casing him for a trade because he's not showing anything anyone would want right now.
If we won that coin flip against the kings we could have gotten Haliburton...that kid would have been a great fit with the team
SVG was correct when he said the majority of this team is mentally soft.
Well, Piston's only went 2-8 in the second quarter from 3, after going 7/13 in the first, so that's some small relief.
We're lucky to have it within single digits at halftime. Need to be better in the third and fourth: try and find even 50% of the energy we had last game.
69 Points to the Pistons.
Yeah, let's bring in a defensive juggernaut like Bradley Beal. That will fix it.
This is embarrassing. From the coaches down to the players, embarrassing.
This team needs to wake up in the 2nd half and pretend they are playing against Boston.
Detroit is a bad matchup for Pelicans.
Maybe we will play the secret weapon in the second half.
Why is none of this surprising. Lol
Shoot that Lonzo!
Lonzo is his own worst enemy sometimes.
Really impressive contest from Zion there ended up with the block but what he was doing as the last line of defense against Plumlee is beyond me, as evidenced by Plumlee getting the follow up
Well. It's nice to see Stan not wait for a 11-2 quarter to call a timeout.
As bad as JJ is (and he is), Bledsoe is worse, because he's on the court more. How he ever made an All Defensive tram is beyond me.
This Dollar General version of the bad boys Pistons is starting to annoy me.
Welp, Zion has turned into Duke Zion this 3rd quarter. Hasn't resulted in many stops as a team, though
Detroit play by play guys seems like a couple of dudes from a retirement home. Finally found a NOLA stream
Hope I don't get hate for this, because I'm not making a sweeping generalization here, but: BI can be such a lazy player on D sometimes. That play Ellington got a wide open three off a screen because BI couldn't fight through it and then gave the weakest contest I've ever seen (literally from behind Ellington) just had me shaking my head.
And tbc, this is not a BI specific thing, everyone on our team (including, but to a lesser degree, Adams) has these effort lapses that are just infuriating because you know we're capable of better. Like, I can legit see a future where Ingram is a positive impact player on both ends, he has the tools. But does he have the desire? does he have the want? To a lesser degree, it's the same thing with Zion, some of these possessions I see the talent shine bright (like this 3rd quarter) other times I think he's hardly putting any pride in on that end of the floor.
Ingram has been playing pretty consistently as of late. Showing some great flashes.
I don't like this rotation
Zion... great god....
Billy is such ****** lmao
You literally have to break down Zions moves in micro seconds... He's throw out combo moves like a world class boxer.
