No it isnt. It's just sloppy play. Nobody forced Lonzo to lob into 3 defenders.

He's not doing a good job getting these people to execute whatever the hell they're supposed to do.

I know the coaches are telling them to stick to Curry — Gentry mentioned it at the quarter break — but our players are just clueless when it comes to D. Josh Hart in particular must be deaf.

Once he's gotten a bit more svelte and trim, he's going to have the ability to tap into his physical gifts for longer in the game.

Good. They need to get used to this now. It won't get easier next season after Zion, Hayes, and NAW have had an offseason to adapt and build up their bodies and skills. People will more than expect them to play playoff quality ball all season.

Hopefully a new coach will be here to provide them with new thoughts and new perspective to keep them on their toes and with clear heads.

We need more people who can create their own shot point blank. Right now it's Jrue as ball handler, Ingram as driver, and Zion in the post. That's it.

Ingram can't shoot off the dribble, neither can Lonzo or Hart or Melli. Jrue can't shoot off the catch. Zion can't shoot in volume.

It's mainly players not knowing where to be, and a huge lack of hustle on defense.

One of my firmest convictions is that Zion can be a +defender. He was a brilliant defender at Duke, excellent at the point of attack and at creating events. Racked up stupid steal and block rates, including as help.

It's not here with any consistency yet. That's cool with me. But you're right, next year after a full training camp and hopefully a summer he spends in the gym, I'll want that defense to start coming back more regularly.

Zion's been fouled so much tonight and they just really couldn't be bothered with calling it.

Hope Zion's okay from that one.
