Lead evaporating here. Great pass from Sabonis there
Rough stretch from Lonzo defensively. Fouls Warren on an and-1 and then gets lazy in transition leading to a Pacers bucket

Basically this
Zo got three's on his mind... not D
Up by 5 and frankly, we're kind of lucky to be.
Things went downhill after Jrue left with the cut. Defense has been come and go. Lonzo has been largely unengaged on that end and the minutes where he and Okafor were defending together were painful.
This is a fun game for the ''people who watched the game'' vs the ''people who looked at the box score after the game'' crowd. Cause the box score people will be like ''wow, Lonzo's doing great! 9 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 50% from the field, he must be killing it!'' but the people who have actually watched the game will be like wow, Lonzo spent a lot of this game completely disengaged, not playing any defense at all, settling for bad shots, etc.
Obviously 2nd half is a big deal, he could turn it on in the 2nd half, but the first half has not been pretty for him.
Jrue Holiday received 5 stitches above his right eye. He will return to tonight’s game in Indiana.

Nice steal from Lonzo
Great offensive board by Melli after the Hart brick
Can't buy a bucket. Put JJ.... lol
League pass glitchin out, freezing up. I've just missed like 3 straight plays :hihi:

Lol, Lonzo stans are wild.
Everyone remember Dylan from last year's team? No?
This is what annoys about the Pels coaching staff.
They are struggling to score for 6 minutes, why not out on JJ?
Jrue, who was shooting 3-6 before getting hit, has been 0-4 since returning. Wonder if that hit knocked him out of it a little.
Since I posted that Jrue had been 0-4 since returning, he has been 2/4 and got another few assists :hihi: Prove me wrong!
Something I saw on Twitter a moment ago that I hadn't really registered.
Frank Jackson is a career 31% shooter from 3.
I knew he was not very good, but I didn't suspect quite that bad.
[Warning: Single game plus minus is not to be taken that seriously, it is a very hazy stat]
Jrue is the only starter with a positive +/-
Tense game.
Okafor has the worst hands IN THE NBA!
Edit: They leave him wide open for a dunk on the next play. Reverse jinx still working!
On the one hand, I'm not surprised Jrue missed that; he was going at 1000 miles an hour
On the other hand, wow Jrue was going fast lol
How many layups Jrue gonna keep missing?
Start the play with more than a second left please.
Edit: yaya. We did, this time!
It is disturbing when I MUTE the TV. It REALLLLLLLLY accentuates how BAD officiating is.
Wow. That quarter felt AWFUL but we only gave up 2 points on the lead.
Looks like Lonzo is struggling to chew gum and dribble tonight.
I hate E'twaun Moore Lead Ballhandler moments
Zo attacked the rim and scored. People can be quiet about it now! l)
Oooh, is Lonzo waking up? He drove and scored
In fairness, and I'm gonna repeat this even though I don't think it's what you mean because I know that post-game, there will be people who try to distort this, Jrue's game has been far and away better than Lonzo's tonight.
The only thing Jrue has really struggled with is his scoring, and most of those struggles came after he got absolutely rocked by Sabonis and had to have his face stitched back up. He was doing fine before then.
Aside from that, Jrue's been playmaking well (his playmaking early was insane, total masterclass) and has been defensively locked in. Lonzo's been making extremely bad decisions all game and he's played traffic cone defense most of the night.
I guess we are gonna be stuck at trailing 10- 9 games below .500 for the next eternity. Figure.
The game flow lead changes looks like a knotted up headphone cords.
Yall need to chill
Honestly, if you can go back and rewatch after the game, go watch that first quarter back. Not just for Jrue, the ball movement from most of the team was awesome. Favors' short roll passing was immaculate.
That said, Jrue's playmaking in the first quarter was dynamite and he was 3/3 inside of the arc. His missing really started after he hit a layup on Sabonis and had to leave the game to get 5 stitches above his eye.
Close game with no Zion or Ingram, lets see how Jrue and Lonzo steps up
Reddick playing this deep in the 4th now?
Double Double from Jrue.
JJ is so good on O......a turnstyle on D.
Pacers bench has 26 points
JJ Redick has 23 points
Jrue with another 3. He's up to 22/6/10, 3/6 from deep
Zo did it twice!
BOTH Lonzo and Jrue stepped up with Big plays down the strectch. Close this out PELS!
Lonzo is 7/12 overall tonight. 1/5 from 3.
Driving is good, at-rim attempts are good, layups are your friend.
