Sky-sick Hayes!
Sky-sick Hayes!
Green limping, looks like he landed funny or something on the dunk
Those types of turnovers happen to us too often.
dae, that, my friend, was "Flash or Crash" showing the full array of his game in 30 seconds.
I don’t get it. Why let Jrue run the offense after taking out Zo!?!?
Why not use NAW to run the offense? Makes no sense.
Terrible turnover there from Jrue, but not really his fault. He passed it into the corner just as Frank took off down the baseline. Either play was possible there, so it's a communication issue.
Sigh
Jrue is too damn sloppy with the ball. Bruh. Make a real pass. Stop double tapping O. Or B on Xbox.
Bad turnover from Jrue again, this time without really any solid reason for it. Just reckless.
Good charge from Hayes
That was a really good play from Jrue, just patiently working his way into the paint and finishing.
12 point lead for the Pels after the first quarter.
“Jrue Holiday deep in his bag like the fries are at the bottom”
So I'm assuming we're basically going to get 6 minutes or so of Zion at the start of each quarter tonight, finishing around 24 minutes? Sounds good to me, if that's the case.
The Celtics, already injured, get two more in the first quarter. But it looks like both Green and Smart will stay in the game.
It's weird because if you had been watching him the last few years, you'd have seen that he's usually a much better passer than this. For some reason this year his decision making has gone belly up, it's weird as hell.
Ediit: just the clarify, I'm not saying he never made stupid turnovers. He did. But this year he's just making them at a way higher frequency.
He's a great SG. He has always been sloppy handling the ball. The faster the pace the sloppier he gets. He's being asked to do things that he isn't great at.
Make Jrue a SG Again
I have not as im a laker transplant since I hate Lebron and the fact that thief traded all of our kids to the pelicans.
That being said. The fact that he can dribble and finish like that. Then throw the ball away over and over like a terrible college PG is very frustrating.
Great lob from Lonzo and brilliant finish from Zion
The last two years, Jrue was one of the best in-the-paint guards in the league, and not from dunking. When he's on, he's smooth as anyone in the league and cannot be rushed.
Shame he hasn't been doing it as regularly as he used to this year. Hoping it comes back any day now :hihi:
Too many people on one half of the court.
Awful possession. Ingram looked scared to shoot it almost, and then Redick just had no room at all so that turnover was inevitable
Zion draws another foul! Great pass from Lonzo, again!
Zion's FT shooting so far this year has been weird. He was a 65% FT shooter or so in college, and he's shooting at what feels like 30% or something from the line. His biggest knock so far.
Hubie Brown just called Lonzo ''Lorenzo Ball''
Ok so, with the FT % this team has put up the last few games and the bad FT shooting in this game... the team needs to get their crap together at the line.
Zion's good at basketball
Well... The good news BI isn't shooting us out of the game. The bad news is he isn't shooting at all.
I remember before the season started I pointed out how bad our team was overall at FT shooting (using Zion's college numbers, and obviously not expecting Ingram to jump up 18% :hihi:) and I said that we were going to lose games purely from how bad we were at FT shooting. I was told by several people that it didn't matter that much, and we'd be fine.
How many games have we lost by ''free-throw'' amounts now?
Zion's played 11 minutes so far and he has 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists. He's on 40% shooting, but again, 3 of his misses were from those little tip ins so in terms of actual, real shot attempts he's 4/7 for more like 57%.
Had some decent defensive moments too, although he did get a big mixed up on a multi-screening action at the top of the key with Kemba.
Good game so far.
Does it feel like we're winning by double digits?
Good recognition of Zion to bounce that off a Celtic before going out.
Yep, 9pts, 7rbds, in 12 minutes for Zion in the first half. Good stuff.
5 players close to double digits before half time. That's winning basketball.
Something is wrong with Ingram’s hand. He’s holding it again today.
He hurt it a few games back and seems to be bothering him again.
BI --> Melli --> Favors
Good feeding, passing up the contested 3 for the paint look, then passing up the paint look for the at-rim look. Passing up a decent shot for closer and closer attempts. That's what you want.
Ok so HOT TAKE. Melli should be on the floor much more often with Favors, Hayes, and Zion.
He has drastically improved since the start of the season and deserves more time.
That shot was so bad, no one was ready to catch it.
