In terms of any difference it'll make for the team? Nothing.

Poor Jummer. Dude is in a fight for survival, meanwhile the Pels are getting all kind of crazy.
Just saying. Teams with much more talent than us brought in much more talent than us. Again. You can give me all this 'plan' crap, but we've been planning. Norris Cole is better than what we have, true, but that isn't saying much. I'm not saying it could've been different and I'm fine with standing pat for now I suppose, but if you are asking what any of this means the answer is nothing.
Norris Cole can play Defense... What about the other players? Williams and Smith???
Jimmer has to be gone unless we are buying someone out?
I'd rather keep Williams over anyone else tbh.
Salmons for Williams and buyought for Williams?
And Cole to PHX?
What a piece of *** of trade deadline
who's on first?
Now hoopshype reporting we are getting Justin Hamilton.
Cole is ok, that's it. I'm not saying that we coulda shoulda woulda done more. I'm just saying these moves don't really mean anything for the team, which is what was asked. Other teams that were also already better than us got even better. Not sure what the problem with these comments are...?
If you think Norris Cole means anything significant for this team, I disagree. Williams is being bought out. Smith likely won't play. Hamilton likely won't play. Not really any significant change for the team and other teams did get better. That's the facts of life. Not to mention, Cole hasn't been much better than Rivers or Jimmer this year, though I do agree he's an upgrade.
I'm told that Norris Cole and Justin Hamilton are both heading to the Pelicans as part of the large trade with Miami and Phoenix.

Pretty sure it is Cole and Hamilton coming (not sure about Smith), with only Salmons leaving. From an energy standpoint, I love the trio of Dante, Quincy and Cole. Those three guys can do most of the dirty work in whatever role. I like the move.
IMO
We now have a better bench than OKC, even after the trades.
They have a bench?
I still think OKC > NO based off of them having Durant and Westbrook while we only have AD and a bunch of jokers.
Cole, Gordon, Cunningham, AD, and Asik as your starters with Evans, Ryno, and Q-Pon off the bench is a pretty good team. Not to mention when Holiday comes back we will actually have another ball handler and point guard to run the second team! It's going to be awesome to see the second team not look like chickens with their heads cut off!
If we buy out Hamilton so what, if we keep him though, Withey has competition.
I like it. No harm, no foul.
I don't know I kind of liked the idea of having Williams, but whatever. Cole is gonna help this team short term and long term. We get a good backup point guard for Jrue next season.
Don't see us making the playoffs, so I'm already looking to next season.
http://bigeasybeliever.com/2015/02/1...ris-cole-heat/ my attempt at covering the meat of this insane deadline for the Pels..
Cole, Hamilton & Williams for Salmons.....and Ish Smith for minor pieces??
http://theadvocate.com/sports/pelica...e-john-salmons
We're not getting in the playoffs without holiday. Jrue is so much better than our other guards on defense and FT percentage. We'll need Jrue if we want the playoffs. I hope he can come back. I have a feeling they'll hold him back even more than 3 weeks. Whatever it takes let him get healthy. He's the 2nd best on this team.
Well look at this. I step away for a few hours and come back to Cole being on the team.
I'm sorry but ANY trade that gives us a backup of for Salmons is a huge win.
A good show me period for Cole. If he looks good, we can give him the QO and keep him for another year. If not, no harm, no foul
Getting Cole creates more stability at PG. he's a good defender. If Jrue comes back I will be happy to have Cole in the backup role. He'll probably perform better having AD, Ryno, Gordon to work with. I'm happy with the move.
Cole
Qpon
Cunningham
Ryno
AD
Would be interesting...
Also you never know, we could see:
Cole
Gordon
Tyreke
AD
Asik
The saddest part of the trade is now I have no one to call Salmonella when he plays a few minutes every couple weeks.
