Why would the Rockets want to trade for a SF when they have 4 on the roster? Maybe the Rondo deal goes down?
All is quiet for the Bulls, Grizzlies, Warriors, Mavericks, and Pelicans at the moment, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.
The Lakers' efforts to dump Hill and Chris Kaman to get under tax stalled when they couldn't secure a second-round pick for either one.

So we apparently didn't want to give up a 2nd rounder for Hill.
Wouldn't be the first time a deadline came and went.
Discretion and valor and all that.
I kinda figured nothing, if much, would happen today. I think most of our moves are usually done over the offseason. Just about every year we get all these threads and get worked up for nothing. LOL.
Booooooring. I needed some good news today. Been a terrible week.
30 minutes to get those trades in!
All quiet...THEN BOOM!
Suddenly we have Melo, Monroe, and Leonard Fournette.
Text from a front-office executive: "34 minutes. This trade deadline could be like kissing your sister."

Stay on topic, this is a deadline rumor thread.
Either nothing good will happen, or, if we're going by the ways of the south or the mountainous east coastal region, a rollicking good time.
Either way. If something big, you'd expect Woj or Berger to have heard about it.
And if Chris Broussard breaks it first, it's total bunk.
RT @ramonashelburne: Lakers engaged in discussions with Philadelphia on Chris Kaman, according to sources

Really surprised that the Lakers would rather pay $7 million in luxury tax at the expense of a 2nd rounder. You can typically buy 2nd rounders for $500,000.
10 minutes left. Really doubt anything happens now.
RT @ramonashelburne: Sounds like Jordan Hill discussions are dying or dead, per sources on both sides

I don't understand something. I read a tweet, maybe from Sheridan Hoops, that the 76er's have like... 5 2nd round draft picks coming up. If the Lakers want a 2nd round pick for Hill, I'm assuming we've tried getting one from Philly? Aren't they still at the point where they NEED to take a player due to required salary? We can't give them... ANYTHING... for a 2nd rounder?
i assume if Kaman gets moved, Hill will be moved. it's the difference between over/under the luxury tax. would just be a matter of who would get him at that point
Looks like shumpert and Felton might go to clippers at last minute
For what it's worth, James Kerti, an NBA scout, said on reddit that he doesn't really see the point of the Pelicans making any moves. He says they're in a tough spot because they can't get rid of Gordon/Evans deals.
Pierre, enjoy Europe.
looks like were stuck with the same **** team, oh well, I'm used to our disappointing seasons.
Really surprised we did not make a move on a cheap big (i.e. Hill, Zeller, etc.) or a young backup SF just to kick the tires the rest of the season.
Dang nabit!
Bulk of our trades are in the offseason anyways.
We're dancing with this grenade.
Sure but you're talking about a team that gave a one legged Kobe 30M. I doubt 7 will break the bank if they'd rather keep a guy.
I still think it's silly though. If they have a chance to get under the luxury tax and lose the repeat offender tax, I'd jump on taking it.
Im getting used to being let down by this team.
I'd give it a good 10-20 mins just to make sure something didn't get submitted last min, but yeah it's not happening.
Clippers discussing Darren Collison, Willie Green and Matt Barnes for Iman Shumpert and Raymond Felton, league source tells Yahoo.

.
Since we didn't use our exception today does that mean we lose it?
I'm by no means let down, I just wanted to see some action. Oh well.
Last min deals going down. Jamison to hawks
No deal for the Clippers and Knicks.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) February 20, 2014
Clippers-Knicks trade might've fallen through due to not able to work out compensation cuz of Iman getting hurt vs us.
Or that's what I'm gonna tell myself, just cuz it thumbs an eye into Los Angeles.
Yeah I mean I'm not super disappointed we didn't make a move, I'm more disappointed the biggest move made in the entire league was Steve Blake.
League wide this was a wet fart of a trade deadline.
And there you have it folks... the 2014 NBA Trade Deadline brought you by ZzzQuil Sleep-Aid.
