Yup, and he is still injured. Glad he got those extra minuets last night. I wasn't sure if AD was a bust or not. You know, so much to prove, and building towards next season and all.

At some point seasons are meaningless for 29 teams in this league, since the point of a season is to win a championship.
I don't know Quailman, Charlotte really looks forward to their annual tanking which they've been very successful in doing so.
At some point, with 10 games left and having as good a chance at making the playoffs as the local girls YMCA Rec league basketball team your season is over. At some point you have to get up and walk away from the table because its just not your night. The Hornets came in with $1000 and currently have .25 in their pocket, but they are still all in.
What can UNO do for you?
It is time for us to all come together and hope that we hit the lottery.... again
Speaking on that driving jump hook. That will be unstoppable. His first of the game went 3/4ths the way down before rolling out, and at that moment.... I knew that's what he needs to be working on this offseason. He released that ball well over the rim height.
Experience isn't just about minutes. It's about situational basketball. Monty wanted him to be in a blowout just so that he could have to learn to fight and scratch and claw his way back into the game.
I didn't hear anyone saying "take Davis out of the game" before he got injured. Those cries only came afterward, and from the outside looking in, it just seems like sour grapes. That really isn't intended to be an insult, so please don't take it that way.
I actually said a few days back that we should sit AD, and I know that I wasn't the only one on this board calling for him to sit more.
These games are a waste. They are glorified preseason games.
Was a dumb idea then, and still is a dumb idea. This last few games were giving him the opportunity to go up against some of the best Bigs in the league.
Scola
Howard and Gasol
Cousins
and Dirk twice.
That is some good competition, that I wanted to see him play against.
I truly did wonder why Davis was being back in, but didn't think it mattered. I can question the logic, but I would never say Monty was a fool for doing it. Because that's pure hindsight.
It seems calling Monty an Idoit is the new "Vasquez sucks" argument. Oh boy.
It's not my wish. I was just saying, it's very realistic for a coach to say look. These last 5 games you are going up against some premier players. Let's work on "these" skills in prep for the offseason and next year. Davis was showing moves he never did before this last week and a half.
Are you capable of registering that idea?
Yes, it sucks he was injured, but your whole argument and premis is a "I told you so" statement. It's quite childish to be honest.
It sucks because he was starting to experiment with his post game. I bet we would have seen more in the last 3 games.
Again, I disagree and we will just have to agree to disagree. 78 games into the season, we have had plenty of situations where we have been down significantly and has to scratch and claw back into the game. It is not like this was a new situation. I was complaining when we were down 30 that Monty needed to get the key players out (not just AD). I could not understand why Mason, Thomas and Harris were not in the game at that point.
I have no proof but I feel like the people who are saying Davis was playing too late in that game are the same people who complained when Davis wasn't getting but around 25 MPG.
Yes, 8:15 left 30 pts. But then 19pts with 6:48 left (when Davis gets hurt). Went on an 11-0 run. Who's to say we don't extend that further????
hope it's minorQuote:

The Hornets are waiting for MRI results right now on Anthony Davis's knee.
I think it got down to 11 at one point, but I can't remember.
Will we be told the truth about his injury if serious?
Fingers crossed it's only minor.
It shouldn't take this long for a result should it?
Does any one know what you can win Sunday at the game.. Considering asking my dad to go
Sprained MCL, bone bruise, no structural damage. See? No biggie.

Quote:
An MRI performed on New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis on Thursday revealed a sprained left medial collateral ligament, bone bruise, but no structural damage, the team said Thursday evening. He will miss the final three games of the season.
No surgery will be required.
glad it is nothing majorQuote:

Anthony Davis MRI showed sprained medial collateral ligament and bone bruse, but no structural damage. Davis is done for the season.
too bad that... like our other 1st round pick from last year... the next time we see him will be in a Pelicans uniform
Worse than Gordon's original diagnosed injury
Nice to hear it is not that bad. And they are not sitting him just to lose games.
Nice to hear that it's not that serious!!! He will come back stronger next year.
I know I am being cynical, but isn’t this the same thing we were told about Gordon?
I know Gordon and AD23 are completely different in the way they supposedly handle their injuries, but would the Pelicans come out and say that their franchise player will need surgery?
Are they honestly going to risk ticket sales?
I hope I am very very wrong, but sometimes I don’t think we are told the whole truth.
Too often we flame Gordon for taking two years to get over his injuries, but may be due to not being told the truth, not diagnosing the injury correct in the first place and the fact that
Gordon is injury prone because of the way he plays, we can surely cut him slack until at least the trade deadline next season.
The Hornets made that decision to sign him and they will make the decision to keep or trade him.
