I have a feeling the staff feels the same way. I think they want to put all their focus and energy into developing Rivers/Davis this off season. I think guys like Porter, Oladipo, Zeller, Burke, and MCW are pretty high on their list for this very reason.

I'm not sure about MCW. But the other guys I do agree with. The #1 guy on that list has to be Oladipo though, imo.

Oladipo puts us ina bit of a pickle. He actually reminds me of Deng a bit but smaller. Fair or am i just comparing them bc they have African like last names :hihi:?

I'm not sold on Burke. I feel like we will go after a more defensive minded pg

The notion that Burke is sup par on the defensive side is off base. Plus the dude played 40 minutes and had to push WAY harder than he should have been on the offensive side.

Ok I didn't say he was bad defensively. I just don't love him like the rest of the board. I pray for a top 3 and smart as the pick or dipo or Noel or porter

If we are at 6 or 7 I would be ok taking a chance on him.

Burke just spot up n hit another 3 from exact same spot as the Kansas game. Like I had said he has range n he did indeed take a good shot that night. Him doing not under pressure or clock running out in this game just proved that.

I can't believ the ref blew the whistle so quick on the last possession for Wichita st for a jump ball. Totally took the game right out of their hands. Bs

How's everyone's bracket doing still? To be my first really time watching college basketball and doing one, mine is pretty good. It's a 100 pct, which I have no clue how its that way or what it means lol. Top 800 on ESPN :D

Was awful the ul player never had his hands on the ball. The refs went from calling it very close to swallowing the whistle, all I ever ask out of a ref is consistency call it the same way both ways all game...

I think mitch mcgary is playing himself into a lottery pick this year if he declares

1. He is at Michigan not some crap school, so he has that going for him.
2. Next year he will improve his draft stock and be what Zeller wasn't this year.

You find out more about a player when they struggling with their shot. He did a great job of feeding his big man, defending, and hustling. You're way to focused on his shot.

Except he was making dumb passes. And not attacking when he should. And attacking when he shouldn't. Shooting when he should pass. Passing when he should shoot. He is not playing well on offense with the exception of excellent protection of his dribble.

Not an impressive game from Burke but Syracuse is a tough defensive team that really pressures the ball. Still has one more game to go against Siva and Russ Smith. If Burke thought MCW and Triche were tough, he's in for a hell of a ride against UL.

Imagine how Siva and Smith feel knowing they are going against the best backcourt in college Monday.

This kinda game is why I don't think Burke can hang in nba at top level.

There's a reason why Syracuse is only allowing 27% shooting in the tournament. Their defense is no joke. People can nitpick Burke offensively all they want tonight but what I saw from him answered all the critics tonight. He can defend at the NBA level and make an impact even if he's struggling from the field.

What I loved about him is that he doesn't get phased and consistently gets the ball to his big man.

McGary is playing like a lotto pick and will be 21, but I can see him staying another year in Ann Arbor. Kid is humble, but has a solid head on his shoulders.

This is just laughable...

Spacing in the NBA is ten times better, and how many pro teams rely on 2-3 zones?

Let the doubters doubt. They shall be converted. He's another Lillard, he just isn't as athletic or big and a better passer.

Edit: The floor spacing point can't be stressed. The bigger 3pt line gives a guy like Burke a LOT more room to operate and makes a 2-3 zone untenable in the NBA. Don't let the fears of his weaknesses scare you away.
