Now what center are we going to pull out of the boondocks?
I hope he stays healthy I cant deny he's a hell of a player I hate the way he talked but I think we all can get over that we ust want wins he wants his money and demps wants his job
Rivers/Vasques E.J/Henry hopefully improves bigtime Aminu/D.mill how will our big men match do we play AD with J.smith or with Anderson and who will that 4th big man be

Looks like Mr. Demps and Monty worked their magic in their meeting with EJ.
Good to have him back. Hopefully he learned to watch what he says in front of the camera.
Go after Stiemsma and I will be fine with the entire roster.
Centers - Smith, Stiemsma, Davis
Power Forwards - Davis, Anderson, Smith, Thomas
Small Forwards - Aminu, Miller, Henry, Davis
Shooting Guards - Gordon, Henry, Rivers
Point Guards - Vasquez, Rivers, Dyson
This isn't a depth chart. Just a roster.
I say he change his number to 24 to signify a new start lol
im soooooooo lost.
yea i like the guy from boston and Greg Oden
For those who want the latest numbers: Hornets have a little over 5 million in cap space plus they can use the "room MLE" which is 2.575 mil

so does this technically mean we have 7.5mil?

``There is always a business element to the NBA when dealing with contracts, but I never lost my appreciation for the New Orleans Hornets,'' Gordon said. ``I look forward to going on the court this season to make our team successful.''
Well everything I have read makes me think that we had 3 days to match the offer but that does not mean we immediately need to get him to sign that contract. Shouldnt that give us time to find players to sign and utilize our cap room before we actually get Gordon to sign his contract? OR is us matching the offer automatically count the contract against our cap before he literally signs the contract?
a "business element" huh?Quote:

Eric Gordon: "There is always a business element to the NBA when dealing with contracts but I never lost my appreciation for the NOLA fans."
Once he signed the contract in phoenix, he is under contract. Since he is a RFA, the only possible outcomes once he signs the contract with phoenix is to A. Match or B. Let Phoenix have him.
So to answer your question, once we officially match, it counts against the cap.
I think we can wait on signing Davis & Rivers to make moves. Rookie exception signing 1st rounders allows you to go over the cap I think, that should allow us to go 7-8 million over the cap.
do you guy think darko could fit in with this team coming of the bench
who knows maybe we let davis play the 5
Drew Returns, Then Gordon returns........ Great weekend so far.

I think we will go after Scola with our remaining $5 mil cap room and sign some min contract big body for back-up C.
PG – Rivers, Vasquez, Dyson
SG – Gordon, Henry
SF – Anderson, Aminu, Miller
PF – Davis, Scola, Thomas
C – Smith & Stiff
but fletcher mackel told us this could never happen???
GO GET ODEN, DEMPS!
how would EJ respond if we told him to report to Vegas and suit up for tomorrow's game?
his ego may explode.
business... gosh, he made us suffer almost a heart attack!!
Good job to Demps and Monty. Maybe Gordon saw the excitement coming from the WhoDat nation over the Brees news that he may be coming around on the city? Those who love New Orleans get loved right back.
If we get oden and he stays healthy this team will become a top 3 defense eventually

Despite potential injury & attitude issues, keeping Eric Gordon is the right move. Making Suns wait until last second is the right move too.
Roy Hibbert said the same thing. Roy Hibbert said he really wanted to play with Portland when he has a fan section and is the fan favorite in Indy and said last year he wanted to be a Pacer. Then he comes back and says he wants to be like Tim Duncan and retire a Pacer just bushiness talk to get paid.
It is all apart of getting the best deal for you. He said his heart was in PHX because they paid them. If NOLA would of offered him a 4yr 58m dollar deal at midnight on the 1st he would of never had to go get his max deal else where and say he wanted to leave. It was all part of getting paid NOLA months ago said he will be the FOTF yet they never acted like he would be(FOTF get max deals and NOLA didnt give him one until they had too bushiness by both parties.
Man, disappointed that Demps couldn't do anything with the cap space. We'll never know if he tried to but it takes two to tango. So I really can't blame him all that much since I dont know if he tried or not.
That said, putting an offer on Scola is not a good move IMO. Bad few for Demps
Are people on here really that serious about getting Greg Oden of all people?
