It is okay to disagree but let us leave the name calling off the forum. Anyway perhaps we are giving Demps to much credit now since he has training wheels. See Danny Ferry.

I would just like to point out that we were very close to a Jahlil Okafor future had Philly not overvalued his market.
And if you take away the Cousins trade, the guy's track record is flat out not good. He basically whiffed on his entire first rebuild, which also only came because he was dragged back from the cliff by David Stern when he tried to trade CP3 for over the hill expensive role players and Dragic.
Which writer's alt account are you again? I suspected MM for awhile but I think he's too much of a narcissist to actually use another account to trash himself. You have shilled for Fisher since day one so that would lead me to believe you're someone from TBW but I get the feeling they don't all like Fisher and his hot takes that much either, especially not enough to constantly be riding him on some forum. I would hope Fisher would be too busy with his new child to make a troll account so I don't think it's him.
So that leaves me with: either you're an idiot or a troll. Which is it?
It seems like he is a guy asking for civility. Whats the harm in that?
But to NVM's point, how long would it take to turn a losing team into a consistently winning team? Quite a few. Suns of Nash and Amare came out of the ashes of a crappy decade post Sir Charles. Celtics were stuck with Paul Pierce and sometimes Antoine Walker, sometimes they could make the playoffs (in the Eastern Conference) sometimes they couldn't. They made a few trades, added a new coach, and BAM! Toronto Raptors are doing pretty well after a forever of being horrible. Mavs have Dirk, surround him with talent, hire Carlisle, you know the deal. The Warriors seem to be doing okay after 17 out of 18 years of missing the playoffs.
We can do better than we have been doing over the last 7 years.
You're right. Excuse me.
Champ, please answer, are you an idiot or a troll?
Now I added please and everything. That is far more respect than should be given to someone who is obviously acting in a specific way to get a rise out of the forum but for civility's sake, I must oblige you.
This the best back and forth we've ever had on this forum. Your response legitimately made me chuckle.
I also don't know why it's taken years for me to recognize that you have The Crack Fox as your profile picture. There is a new found respect budding in me for you.
When you post the things you do, you can't expext people to just let it slide and not call you a troll, from time to time. Honestly, I thought you were always trying to be the board troll. Either that or you're a teenager. Those are the only explanations I could come up with to explain your past behavior and posts.
Is Mythrol blunt and rude sometimes? Yeah, I'd say so. But he rarely posts anything outlandishly ridiculous or completely pointless.
I rarely interject myself into little skirmishes like these, but you can't act like a troll and then call for civility.
Anyways, back to the OP. I agree with Bronco. Other than the bigger name guys in college and the league, I'm not all that educated on our coaching options. But just from what I've read and heard over the last few months, Messina sounds like the best fit for AD/DC. He's going to get a head coaching gig by someone this off-season and I hope it's us.
I'll answer this part. I expect a GM with a coherent plan that maximizes the chances of success while minimizing risk by remaining as flexible as possible. Demps has made IMO a lot of unnecessary risk and then refused to move on once those moves failed to work.
His refusal to move on from bad decisions is his biggest downfall. Overpaying Holiday will be a classic Demps move that will likely come back to haunt us. I would set a max of 20 million a season with Holiday to play SG, and let him leave if he wants/gets more. I'd take Eric Bledsoe (Cousin's friend) at PG over Holiday any day. Having Bledsoe at PG and Holiday at SG would be ideal.
I think we need to shop Moore, Pondexter (for contract purposes), and our 2018 top 3 protected first rounder for a PG like Bledsoe, Rubio, or Dragic. Rubio would likely be the worst fit due to his poor shooting, but they would all be better true PGs than Holiday. If we can't get any, then we have to settle for Jrue playing PG. If Jrue walks as a SG, then we go after a free agent like Korver or trade for a SG like Nick Young.
I just really want to throw a name out there to see what people say. Has this guy ever been talked about for any job other than the one he has? Geno Auriemma.
