He has had back issues in the past. But the Nets did pay him $37 million and the Rockets matched. It must be something with the Rockets organization that he doesn't like because he never reported to practice and refused a physical apparently.

Big with a legit post game? I'll take it.
I'm fine with this. A good player for the minimum? Hell yeah!
And if it doesn't work out, who cares?
He's a good big man who can run the floor and provide spacing on offense, hitting a corner 3 and giving AD room to work. The only reason we are able to get him is because of injury concerns otherwise great addition. Motiejunas acquisition + small ball lineups will make it harder for Asik and Ajinca to see the floor, thankfully.
Soooo, if we don't have to trade for a big, what's our move at SF? You know this front office is dying to make a serious play this year, and only 1 game out of the playoffs. Is there a guy worth making a real play for?
this is a good signing....who will the inactive be?......diallo,,,asik,,,ajinca.....if its diallo,,i hope they send him back to the d-league so he can play and better his game.....
i guess someone or two is getting traded next month.......
Other teams wanted him too, so that is good to hear. Also they had so many guards they could use another big.
Edit: wrong thread
Yeah I guess I overreacted after reading Fisher.
Cant see how he will play C.
He is too light and coming off a serious back injury.
He played center at times last season, after the back injury. He pasted his physical with the Nets, so I think his issue is more of the right fit. Pelicans are desperate for someone with his skill set that can play the 4 or 5.

Hopefully he helps with the flow of our offense
Should've just kept Ryan Anderson
