Maybe they are seeing Gravy's spot up and 3pt shot improving?

Like I said months ago, Vasquez does not have a role in our future plans. We're still in the middle of the Rivers experiment and we are going to upgrade the 1 some way or another. There's no future for him here. Trade him while he has value and address other positions of need simultaneously.
I read a rumour that the Pelicans would draft Trey Burke if they could not come to an agreement with Cleveland for Otto Porter. Apparently Aminu is a part of the deal. I hope we arent reckless with any assets.
And I am strongly opposed to a Burke Vazquez starting backourt. That is retarded.
Heeeeeeeeell no. Westbrook is not a shooter. No excuse for him to shoot at ball 30 times a game like he does. Westbrook is one of the most effective PG's in the NBA in the role he currently plays and shaking the lineup up would just be trying to fix something that isn't broke.
Fisher is likely done but they can find a serviceable backup PG without having to give up assets for him.
Thunder will not trade their pick. It's the highest pick they'll ever get as long as they have Durant and Westbrook.
My bet is that they'll draft Olynyk.

Can't put Vasquez as the SG, end of story.
If we have Burke on the roster, we may need Gordon's...uh...experience on the court. Unless we get a good trade for him.
Greivis can bring good trade value to the team that can yield into another prospect.
Lets not rush the rebuild, lets make patient moves and turn short term assets into long term assets.
I've realized a lot of people use the bird de lis logo as their avatar. And I thought fans wouldn't like it.
I'm intrigued by all this Burke talk. Isn't Rivers supposed to be our PG of the future?
Hmm...If this is true GV would be great as a backup guard/forward, not starting hell naw lol. And they can flip Roberts for a second/late first maybe for a Euro stash. Whoever turns out better for the team at pg can start while the other can the be the sixth man. Well just have two really good guards, heck 3 really whom can all play both slots. It will give us depth at the guard spots, it can work.
How can u not doubt the Thunder already since they traded Harden? They won't last because the only way to last is to pay the luxury tax penalties, EDIT: or have absolutely flawless GM history, one wrong move and your cap strapped for awhile.
I would of extended Harden over Ibaka, and would of just matched whatever offer Ibaka signed.
i wonder what kind of SF we could get with a GV and Roberts package, maybe in a 3 team trade
They are not going to draft a PG and then dump Vasquez, leaving said rookie PG to be the starter. We went down that road with Rivers last year and it was an epic fail. Has anyone considered that they can draft Burke and have him coming off the bench at first, and if he is they say he is he can gradually work his way into the starting lineup. Vasquez is way too cheap for his abilities to just trade away, withhis salary he can be a reserve.
A backcourt rotation of Vasquez, Burke, Roberts, Gordon, and Rivers is very workable.
That is a terrible comparison. Burke is a far better point guard prospect than Rivers was last year.
Also we aren't a team on the verge, and a rookie starter hurts our chances. We have time to continue crafting our talent base.
i actually love this idea but to say Vasquez' days are numbered if we bring in Burke is ridiculous. For starters even if Burke is all that do you really think were just going to pencil him in as starter from day 1? Also its surprising to me that usually us fans overvalue our own players but when it comes to Grevis he gets way undervalued. Most people are just willing to give him away. He has good size, can fill in at the 1,2,3, hes cheap and just finished 3rd in the nba in assits. cmon.
But to be fair id be willing to move him because his value is at an all time high , if we could get the #12 pick for him id do it.
I actually think Vasquez would be a great fit for them, moving westbrook to the 2 vasquez starting at the 1, hes also great friends with Durant.
Putting Vazquez at SG must be speculation. If they are considering this, i would have to seriously question our front office. We have to either move on and trade him, or keep him as a backup (unless we cant adress the pg spot in this draft). He is not where he needs to be yet.
i still think burke will be a poor man's cp3, like cp3 burke is not a great on ball defender, cp3 wasnt either actually, but both are good as playing the passing lanes and getting steals, but the way they run the pick and roll, the way they shoot, their IQ, and the way they drive into the paint and drop it off to a big or a great pass to an open 3 point shooter looks identical if u go watch burke and cp3 college tape.
I never watched...any of Chris Paul coming out of Wake Forest. Anyone know how his shot was back then? I mean, looking at it now, I doubt he was the type to pull up from 30 feet away and drain it.
cp3 sophmore year: 15.3 ppg - 6.6 APG - 4.5 RPG - 45%FG - 47%3pt FG
TB3 sophmore year: 18.6 ppg - 6.7 APG - 3.2 RPG - 46%FG - 38%3pt FG
trey burke basically did better than cp3 in every single catergory besides 3point percentage (dont really care about rebounds) but that is only because cp3 only had 97 3point attempts compared to burke's 198. Burke is the real frikkin deal' hopefully people pass on burke like they did cp3 because of his size and he falls to us, boy would that be something. TB3!
an ESPN writer proposed a scenario of Vasquez & #6 pick for Rondo. obviously no real legs behind it but pretty interesting thought
