Schroeder has shown the potential to become a competent shooter, but more than that, he does have PG instincts, he plays the position really well, and he's really exciting out of the pick and roll and in transition. He isn't just an athlete.

Burke is more proven, I agree. But I think you always draft with potential in mind this high in the lotto. And Schroeder exudes it.

Hey if you're right I wouldn't be mad one bit. I just want a true point guard with clear upside.

Just watching Burke almost every game I think he has as much potential to get better as any player in the draft. He has made a huge leap in production and skill set from one year to another guys rarely ever make. Another leap like that and we are talking about a multiple all-star.

Detroit just drafted a PG... kid from Kentucky that Kyrie abused on all star weekend. They do have 2 expirings that they could trade (Cahrlie V and Stuckey) but they won't get anything for them until the deadline next season.

If you talking about Shaun Livingston that's not fair at all. You might not be making this statement if he hadn't destroyed his knee his rookie season. I would seriously consider it.

They're all risks to a degree. I'd cast my lot with Burke though. He seems to have legit star potential ... IMO if he doesn't reach it, he'll still be a solid hand. I can't say that's true of everyone at 6 or later.

Burke has a lower ceiling and higher floor.

Schroeder has the star potential. Higher ceiling and lower floor.

it doesnt seem like "between 2 and 6" but more like "either 2 or 6". two things are gonna be key, but the biggest thing is magic being convinced mclemore is better for their team than burke

I'll speak for myself and say I haven't forgotten I just think Burke is and will be a better option at the 1 than Rivers. Likewise it's foolish to pass up Burke for the sole purpose of hoping Rivers can be successful.

Yeah. You make the team better no matter what. Hell, if I had a higher opinion of Bennett or Zelller I wouldn't be against drafting them.

Monty has high hopes for Rivers. We all do. But Demps needs to pull the trigger on who he thinks is the best player.

Monty got his pet project last season, now Demps needs to make his own call.
