Off topic: Which MLB team should New Orleans adopt?

Go braves- my favorite team. I watched on TBS while growing up. They are a small market team like New Orleans. I like rooting for small market teams. Braves, hornets (pelicans) , saints

The correct answer is without a doubt the Cubs.

I follow the Rangers due to Ron Washington being from New Orleans

Braves usually have one of the highest payrolls in baseball. They're not considered a small market team.

White Sox (southside reminiscent of parts of New Orleans)

Yankees fan for about 14 years now. Started going to the games when I moved here. Don't really like any other NY franchises though.

Braves fan here. I know over here in Baton Rouge, the Astros seem to have the "hometown" label for most people. Personally, I can't root for them.

False. Braves payroll is in the $90 million range and has been a middle of the pack payroll team for several years since Liberty Media purchased them from Ted Turner.

The Braves win with solid player development, especially pitchers, with the occassional trade of stockpiled assets to bring in a star. The reason they were able to acquire the Uptons this offseason was largely due to Chipper coming off the books and trading Prado who was due a pricey arbitration number.

All that being said (if you haven't already guessed!), I've been a Braves fan since the early Dale Murphy years, thanks in large part to TBS telecasts.

I support the Atlanta Braves, I don't know how many people in NoLa support the Braves but every summer when I would go to Atlanta on vacation my uncle would always take me to a few Braves games.
So I grew up fond of them and I still am a fan of the Braves today.

It's quite interesting hearing everyone's reasons. I've only been to one professional baseball game (2 summers ago in NY for the Yankees vs Rays). Fun game but I was more interested in the experience when I was in New York.

The Braves are going to be solid this year especially with the addition of the Upton brothers
