I could be wrong, but I took the agents comments to mean that BD wanted to be traded because the Hornets didn't do enough to surround him with enough talent; in a larger market that hosts a contender he could showcase his talent in the playoffs to a wider fan base.
I understand that I'm assuming a lot here, but I don't think I'm that off from what the agent intended. You don't demand a trade to improve a team, or to better market the team you are already on.
Everything this season concerning BD falls back to his agent's comments to the media. It was the worst thing he could have done, for himself and the Hornets. He never did anything to that agent, as far as I know that guy is still employed by BD (even though he supposedly spoke out of turn).
BD feels unwanted, he should. When his agent made those comments it split the fan base and caused all this stupid drama about his trainer, his injury, staying in LA, and now feeling unwanted. For me it all goes back to his agent's demands to the media.
