Gotya. Probably true. But I could see a couple of picks in this draft plus Buddy as more desireable. Still hard to argue with you when I agree the value from us was so poor, lol.

One of Gentry's stated goals was to get AD's range out to the three point line.
I look at Boogie's assist numbers for the year and see that he's averaging 4.9 assists per game. What I'm wondering is if Gentry sets up the sort of inside/outside game that initially made Ryan Anderson so potent with Dwight Howard in Orlando. I'm imagining feeding Boogie down low, then him kicking it out to AD if nothing is there. AD can shoot and Boogie would still be in position to clean up. This could be lethal if they can figure it out.
The scary thought is we can do whatever we want. We have 2 bigs who have the versatility to do anything you ask. They can hit mid range, 3 pointers, dominate the post, pass, and dribble. Gentrys system couldn't have 2 better bigs in the NBA for it. Everyone acts like he doesn't like bigs which simply just isn't true. We don't have the bigs worth playing and now we do. Teams are going to have nightmares defending these guys.
It reminds me of the scene in the Watchmen comic where Rorschach goes to prison. Some toughs try to rough him up and he says: "I'm not stuck in here with you, you're stuck in here with me." Then he slams a guy's head into a pan of boiling spaghetti.

I hate have shiny-new-object syndrome.... but are we positive Cassipi can't be that guy?
I'm most excited about the soundness of our team defensively. Not a single minus defender or awful offensive player in the whole starting 5. When's the last time we could say that?
Cousins to NOLA, back in 2012! Haha, found this and it was a fun little throwback article I thought some of ya'll might enjoy

Nah. AD is nowhere near the shooter RA is. Barely scraping 30% this year. Thats bad basketball.
Trust me they can both do damage further in without clogging the lane. Think Lakers when they had Gasol/Odom and Bynum. Or even San Antonio now with Gasol and Aldridge. As it stands now DC and Solo just need to be ready to up their games and make wide open shots.
On why he changed his number to #0, new Pels center DeMarcus Cousins told The Undefeated via text: "New life..." Cousins wore #15 with the Kings.
Give credit where credit is due. There were other teams trying to get Cousins. Demps was the most aggressive, and he played his hand well. Sure, there was a lot of luck that Sacto was so stupid, but it's not like Demps was the only suitor. The Lakers just fired their GM because they missed out on such a great deal. Celtics fans were going nuts. Suns fans, etc...
Last year, Hill went from being kinda bad at 3s to hitting at an insane clip.
Maybe he does the same thing?
We gave Seattle their NBA team back with this trade.
Orlando's offers for Boogie were
Fournier + 1st rounder and Vucevic + 1st rounder
plus small fillers
Sacto wanted Aaron Gordon.
As they wanted Ingram etc.
Lakers insiders expect that Kupchak was fired because he failed in swooping for players/FA. And the turning point about their FO decision was failing to get DMC.
Insiders expect that:
1. if the change in Lakers FO was made before ASG - DMC will be a Laker.
2. if Sacto decided to wait till the deadline - NOP offer wont be the best one (Vlade did not wanted to wait becuause of Vivek).
Sometime it is better if your president is not interested in your franchise.
Benson commented on DMC trade. There was not any mention about Dell.
Sometimes I am wondering if he knows who Dell is?
Quote:
I was appreciative of Mickey (Loomis) for keeping me updated daily during the trade talks and I was 110 percent behind the decision. I hope all of our fans welcome DeMarcus and Omri with open arms to our great city.
MUST READ about Cousins and Kings: "is DeMarcus Cousins undoing Sacramento, or is Sacramento undoing Cousins?"
http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/sto...s-real-problem
I read here that it is more Kings beeing stupid than Dell doing a great deal. The credit to Dell has to go back to the draft day when he drafted Buddy. Remember how everybody thought the pick would be traded? Not only didnt he trade the pick but drafted Buddy over Murray. Many here blamed him for that and fricked out a few days ago when Murray won the MVP. We wouldn't have gotten DC without getting Buddy first.
I'm kinda worried on his behaviour. He looks depressed, not happy to be here.
You also said "this thing doesn't have a chance of turning around until Benson passes and then it only has a chance if the next person has a clue. And then it will still take a few years". LOL. Benson still alive and the Pels are forming a powerhouse to rival any team. You said that only once in a thousand simulations could a franchise like the Pels go from obscurity to the top. Said that you keep up with the Pelicans because its like watching a car crash, etc. And now when the Pels make a move you are acting all smug like you saw it the whole time. Cmon man.
Chris Paul's demons still haunt us.
I bet people still have vivid memories of Gordon, Kaman, and Aminu looking angry and depressed, even though they were smiling right before that pic was taken.
Oh noes, he's not looking happy at all times? He hates us. He wants to leave.
Oh noes, he changed his number to 0? As in 0 love for New Orleans? He hates us. He wants to leave.
Oh noes, he didn't sign the extension deal this summer? He hates us. He wants to leave.
If you guys are going to get worried about whether or not Cousins looks happy to be here or if his choice of number says something about his attitude, get ready for a bumpy ride! I know our role as internet posters is to freak about every little thing and over analyze - but we're gonna need some sedatives around here. Boogie is crazy and his mood swings like a weathervane. Do yourselves a favor and don't try to judge his game to game behavior, try maybe a 2 week rolling average, otherwise you'll go as crazy as he is
