When the Knicks traded Porzingis I immediately thought “if this leads to Julius Randle and Taj Gibson you make this move.”

If the Knicks were trying to get Durant at a discount does that same thinking apply to Kawhi, who has a bad leg? Also, did Kemba and Kyrie not give the Knicks a meeting because they were also trying to get them at a discount?

We still got the older vet with playoff experience that we needed. Plus he’s a lights out long distance shooter.
So far we were not listed as a team interested in Favors. The Clippers, Mavs, Knicks(doubt it now), Kings, & Hawks were listed.
Man this kind of stinks for Kawhi going to the Clippers. Unless he’s good with Cousins possibly being that guy? He better not go to the Lakers. Don’t do a Lebron & KD, Kawhi!! Both those guys reputations took a huge hit when they left for super team situations. Build you own with Toronto or the other team in LA.
A year or two ago, everyone in the city was clamoring for hometown hero, Greg Monroe 6'11", #265, center (now 29) during free agency. Any takers? Price would be nominal for his interior defense.
This says it all

Miami is finalizing a sign-and-trade with Philadelphia to acquire Jimmy Butler, league sources tell ESPN.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2019
Butler going to Miami. Which takes away the.. kawai and Jimmy with the Clippers. So that leaves The Lakers or the Raptors. Lets go Raptors!!!!
I’d love to see us get Bobby Portis for like 2 year, $30 million dollar deal or whatever it would take for the Wizards not to match. Just don’t go overboard with it. He could start at the 5 some games if needed at 6’11” 250.
C: Okafor, Hayes, Wood
PF: Zion, Portis, Melli
SF: Ingram, Hart, Kenrich
SG: Jrue, Redick, Moore
PG: Ball, Jackson, NAW
That would be a sick squad, especially the bench with Redick, Hart, Portis, & Moore with the potential of Hayes & NAW.
That doesnt say anything. It's random speculation from some random dude.
Kawhi did not pop his achilles. Who knows if they had any meetings set up with Kemba or Kyrie, much less try to get them at some discount. Again, neither of them popped their achilles to be out all next year.
Lots of high school media antics going on but the Knicks were prudent with Durant. Cant fault them for that period.
I'm afraid with the Butler move Kawhi is gonna go to the Lakers now
Mavericks Acquire Goran Dragic From Heat https://t.co/hVwajfgIPF
— RealGM (@RealGM) July 1, 2019
eh?
ok cool.
The Mavericks have traded for Miami's Goran Dragic, multiple sources confirm. Dragic is the only other Slovenian in the league, and was roommates with Luka Doncic during Slovenia's 2017 EuroBasket run.

My top targets now:
1. Bobby Portis
2. Marcus Morris
3. JaMychal Green
4. DeMarcus Cousins (if we could get him for a steal)
5. Markief Morris / Jeff Green / Kevon Looney / Frank Kaminsky / Mike Muscala / Max Kleber
All I can say is screw you wizards. Booooo
Ok, so i gotta go to bed by 11pm. (About 2 hours from now...)
I wanna see the Pelicans get a Center by the time I go to bed.
So I'm offering up a picture of my dog.

This is Gracie. David Griffin... don't let Gracie down. She's a good pup.
DeAndre Jordan has agreed to four-year, $40M deal with the Nets, Excel Sports agent Jeff Schwartz tells ESPN.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2019
now the rumor is official I guess.
The Knicks gave TAJ GIBSON the same yearly salary as DeAndre Jordan!!!!!
LMAOOOOO. God I can't wait to hear SAS tomorrow.
What the Nets don’t have the room to sign KD, Kyrie, & Jordan, so either KD & Kyrie took less money or the Nets may have a deal in place?!?!
Maybe Jarrett Allen to a team?? If so I hope we that team. Doubt they move LeVert or Dinwiddie.
Did Dedmond sign? Been away from the computer...
Okay. Whatever if you want to be a Dolan apologist. Your problem not mine. By the way he is not a random guy. Anyway from another random guy.
This is so beautiful https://t.co/1hnpRyz9Wz

That not apologizing for anything. It's facts. There is no telling how Durant will look 2 YEARS from now. He will probably need another year just to get his legs back. The Nets are effectively paying Durant $80 million to rehab. Plus I'm not a Kyrie fan since he's not a great leader at point guard and may start pouting again if things dont go right.
The Knicks just need to weather the great loud mouth firestorm for now.
Man I just have this feeling kawhi is going to the lakers and I hate it
I find this take extremely logical and probably a very solid approach to building a team. However, my issue is more that the Knicks promised the moon, Traded Porzingis, and ended up missing on everyone in free agency.
Even if it was the practical approach it was sure to make fans absolutely livid. Especially after years and years of gross incompetence.
If we could get Bobby Portis on a reasonable 2 to 3 year deal, I would try to move Etwaun Moore. Then sign Elfrid Payton for what Moore was getting, but add a year or 2.
C: Okafor, Hayes, Wood
PF: Zion, Portis, Melli
SF: Ingram, Hart, Kenrich
SG: Jrue, Redick, NAW
PG: Ball, Payton, Jackson
That would be an absolutely beast of team IMO. That second unit of Payton, Redick, Hart, Portis, & Hayes(or Wood till he’s ready) would be one of the best in the league IMO.

This has got to be a dream.
