See... you too miss the point.
My point has never been to believe every Laker rumor. Or any rumor! Only that you can't (or rather shouldn't) only believe the rumors that fit what you want to believe. You can't believe AD's dad doesn't hurt the negotiations with the Celtics, but believe the Lakers are hurt because of Lonzo's dad's very similar comments.
And...
1. Ainge still hasn't publicly said anything (I was very clear, intentionally) and was responding to a dude saying Ainge had said this publicly.
2. In the interview that was posted Ainge specifically talks about NOT trading for dudes who won't commit, and implies that if he did it would depend on the package.
3. Ainge has urged the Pels to wait, but if you read the latest Woj article, the Pels aren't sure if Tatum would be in the deal (something I also just posted before it was in the Woj article).
4. Recent reports have also said some in Pels organization want to take Lakers deal (I posted it's probably a toss up whether they do)
I don't know how much clearer I can be.
1. I rank the best possible offers BOS > NYK > LAL
2. Tatum and Zion are the prized assets, but as of now those are not in the deal
3. If you can't get a guarantee on Tatum and Zion (not possible to get a guarantee), the Lakers offer, IMO - and several others within PELS - is that the Lakers offer is not the hot trash you all proclaim it to be.
... how exactly has anything I've posted been wrong? Everyone right now is trying to leverage and spin everyone. Even Woj leads his article with that.
My gripe with yall, is that yall are embracing only the spin that benefits your perspective on what the Pels should do.. to the extent that some of yall who I have more respect/faith in (Mythol) are actually disregarding the actual words that Ainge has said publicly, which indicate he is not willing to part with his best assets without a commitment from AD.
The risk for the Pels in being sweet talked by Ainge... is that Ainge can literally change his mind because of a conversation with kyrie... or if the Knicks pick isn't the leverage we hope (Zion or maybe top 3), he may not feel like he has to offer Tatum. And Ainge has not publicly said anything that would ruin his reputation if he backed away, in fact publicly (with his words) he has signaled that AD's unwillingness to resign gives him an out to not go all in. He'll offer. But not everything.
But hey, if you want me to stop posting I will. But only because it's like beating my head up against the wall and I've definitely wasted too much time already doing that with yall.
