Who said anything about GV? I havent brought him up at all tonight.

I think the key to the game was Rivers getting hurt, that put everything out of whack. Vasquez had to play the whole second half after that. Plus this game shows me we have to draft Shabazz we need a scorer so bad.
Indeed. Hell, he's more than exceeded expectations. He's woefully flat footed, but whatever. He's got great size and can get points in the paint in a pinch. But not in the clutch and he will never dunk on anyone. Let alone Dwight Howard. Yet he kept trying. At least points for sticktoittiveness.
Plus the fact that he was the one drawing the fouls on Howard. Only one that was guarding the paint.
I've been a Monty apologist but the last 2 games are enough to get fired. They are both a microcosm of how inept he is at calling offensive plays and rotations. He's always had a problem with his rotations and his play calling that has led us to blowing leads in the 2nd half....an thats going back 2yrs....with less talent than we have now. He has no feel for how to adjust in game....thats something you need to know how to do if you want to be a successful coach.
Enough with the "we're young...we have to learn" BS after games.....what are you learning.....cuz I keep seeing the same mistakes made every game. You sit your best defensive player on the bench in for the entire 4th qtr to play a guy that cant defend the pick & roll to save his ****ing life while Kobe is going nuclear. Its unacceptable and its about time we rethink the direction we're going with coaching.....his calling card is defense but his defense has regressed something awful this season because.....he can't or wont make the adjustments in game.
I'm really mad a this **** man....its embarrassing....and like someone earlier said this is on the same level as a Saints loss....for me its not the 49ers game cuz we didn't lose a lead...we came back and then GW ****ed us over in the last 5min....this is equivalent to the the Saints losing against KC last season at home....we had a 18pt lead in that game at home...decided to take our foot of the pedal with conservative play calling (something that never would've happend if Sean Payton was playcalling) and lost in OT.
Man that's still ridiculous thinking. Back off the ledge. Nobody here likes the Lakers but it's dumb to think that we are going to sit here 3 years from now and reflect on how we beat the Lakers in a meaningless season back in 2013. Nobody here is at the practices so nobody knows what Monty's reasoning is. Everyone fails to recognize that this is the same pattern that we exhibited last year.....play games and look really good then lose inexplicably at the end. It got us Davis last year, we will be better off this year in the draft as well.
With the #1 pick in the NBA draft, the New Orleans Pelicans select...
We are almost there (tied for 4th now).
For me, the most frustrating thing was to hear the game turn into a Lakers home game. I ****ing hate all these bandwaggoners.
Serious question. People like to blame Gordon, and Vasquez, and anyone else they can for their offensive woes.
You take any coach in our division (Popp, McHale, Hollins, Carlisle) and put them in Monty's place offensively, does a guy like Gordon continue to struggle or do things come a little easier?
This was a disappointing loss. . .
I don't think any coach could take THIS current team to the playoffs. maybe next year (with the help of some moves), but this year was a growing year.
Gordon might get it figured out. I just hope that it is somewhere else. We got him and it was like taking somebody home after a night of drinking. They are a 10. Next day you wake up, and he/she is missing an appendage ala " I'm Gunna Get you Sucka!"
Popp would have players moving better off the ball. McHale has forgotten more about post play than any big in the game today will ever know. And our inside out game would be better. Not sure about the others, but Carlisle isn't green like Monty so I have to imagine he's better at putting his players in positions to win, rather than protecting players from failure.
I have never seen a player who almost averages a double double get some much blame for a teams struggles while receiving such little praise as GV
This game is definitely not the lowest point in the franchise...Lower than being sold to the NBA? Lower than being pimp slapped publicly by Cuban and other owners for trades that we wanted to put into action? Lower than a national tv playoff loss which was the biggest loss marginally ever? Nah.
Im proud of u lol. ..I'm very frustrated rt now tho..this game had to be throwed tho just too much goin on at the end for it not to be.. ..we r only 2 games away from being bottom 3 I think it's official after tonight we are tanking and going for the bottom 3....Washington here we come!!!!!
One thing I'm noticing this year that this team lacks toughness. They're soft this year, we need tougher minded players. Last year we had Landry and Jack who were pretty tough and competitive vets, but now our defense suffers from the lack of and so does finishing the end of games.
Yeah it was cool for one year when Anthony Davis could be your first pick. Now, there is no real number one franchise player in the draft. We could get just as good of a player with the 5th pick. Besides, I'm tired of sucking. How many years are we gonna tank. We ain't the clippers in the 90's.
What about subbing Davis for Anderson (instead of Lopez) in the fourth?
We were getting killed on the pick n roll- Lopez would come up to play the pick, and our rotations were slow either to the rim (Howard on pass, or Kobe on the drive) and to the wing (Meeks/Metta on the three). Davis could have done a better job of closing the lane.
Either way, where the hell was Davis????
One thing I just realized......I think Monty has gotten exposed coaching. Think about it. His first yr he had CP3 as a PG. He didn't have to learn how to put guys in the best position to win because Chris did that all by himself on the floor. Now that he doesn't have a PG with that kind of BBall IQ he is totally lost when making adjustments....
If CP3 was running point for this team at least 50% of the losses we have would be wins. He's going to have to realize he can't rely on any of these guys to make these critical decisions at the end of games. No top 5 PG exposes his lack of offensive IQ.
