It's also only his second time in the playoffs and first time this far. I almost knew they would not be able to match the Warriors intensity and focus. Two things this team has been terrible at all year.

It takes time and experience at all levels. Look at how long it took Jordan just to reach the eastern conference finals?

Some of these comments are ridiculous. AD was bad today, plus GS was hot, I agree that the end of 3rd beginning of 4th it looked like we threw in the towel. Having said that Davis deserves better from you guys. He is playing a position he doesn't want, no real option to relieve him, and the other team is loading up double teams, holding, pulling, dragging down, and making sure he can't beat them. The young man has exceeded any and all reasonable expectations. Boogie here and this don't happen, hell any other above average body to bang makes AD that much better. Diallo is not nor will he ever be the answer. We are probably done, probably, but it ain't over yet, and there is no team better positioned then us for the future.

Yes it is comical and sad at the same time. AD has lead us to a sweep being absolutly dominant against a good Blazer team in the 1st round. In the first 2 games of this series he kept us competitive in the NBAs toughest area against a super team who are the defending NBA Champs with arguably the most talented roster of all time. Took care of our 1st game on home court with a dominant 33 points and 18 rebound game crushing the Warriors. But god forbid he only scored 26 points and we lose a game that we didn't play so well in. We went up against a super team that was not is what happen. No team in the NBA is gonna look like they played with effort when you are getting jump shot after jump shot drained over you even when defending like glue. Our players and coaches deserve better then some of the reactions after a loss. Yet the same people expect that player to be loyal and not ever leave their team lol. Sad

I am known as the negative guy on here, but what makes y'all think we can't win the next game? One game at a time. it's still 0-0 on the scoreboard next game. Win next game, and bring it back to NOLA for game 6 and go from there...

We can’t blame anyone for this loss. We did our best, and our best didn’t do. Oh well.


What we need is Boogie. Only his addition would have changed our fate.

I just want the pels to put up a decent showing. (They have thus far, IMHO) My prediction (not on here) was warriors in 6. I thought the pels were in the middle of a ten game win streak at the end of the regular season and believed they would ride a sweep into a first game win against the warriors. That didn't happen. But i still believe the pels will take one off the dubs at home, which would have to be the next game at this point. AD just has to believe he is LBJ.

That being said, I'm still rooting for the Warriors as the lesser of two evils. I don't want Chris Paul and the rebirth of Flop City to even sniff the finals.

Yeah, this game sucked. I have to think that we'll bounce back from it. Game 5 is still totally a possibility, because we basically won game 2 and that was at Oracle too. So, fingers crossed, game sucked, I think I can move on.

The warriors embarrassed the pelicans big time. I’m so sick of them. They are unsportsmanlike and obnoxious. Especially Draymond, Curry and Durant. Klay Thompson isn’t classless or obnoxious. We should have put Hill on KD and have him play more physical and foul HARD if needed. They should have switched up and not just have Jrue on him 90 percent of the time. Foul hard, defend and throw Durant off his rhythm. We can’t afford Jrue to foul out but using a guy like Hill to be a more violent and hostile defender is what we should have done. It may not have worked either but it was obvious the other strategy wasn’t working. The Warriors played a better game but we could have done better than this. Much better.

Getting Boogie back is not going to be enough to beat gsw. We will need a completely unfair advantage to beat them. We will need Boogie healthy and able to do everything he did before but that’s not a guarantee given the severity of his injury. Assuming he comes back and is at full strength when the playoffs come we will have to get several other players to have the unfair advantage because nothing else will work. We would need to get Boogie, Lebron and for our bench David West, Zaza, Iggy, Nick Young, Livingston. So adding Lebron boogie and taking gsw bench from them would be a start. We’d also have to get many calls from the refs that unfairly favor us. There you go. Maybe we would have a chance then but even that might not be enough.

Since the above would never happen it means we will not get past the warriors. Boogie wouldn’t be enough. So a more realistic move would be sign a Tyreke Evans, Avery Bradley, Will Barton, Marco belinelli, David west, belinelli. I’d consider Zaza too just to have him to be extremely physical off the bench for 5-6 min.

Dream scenario is we somehow get Paul George and two very good back up players to strengthen our bench. We can move Niko before trade deadline if we have an opportunity to get more help...

Sure the pels can get better next season but we will probably never get past the warriors. Not taking away the fact that we had a great season... I’m just not able to watch basketball if gsw continues to have this super unfair advantage.

The Pels couldn't beat Sacramento or Phoenix bench shooting as poorly as they shot yesterday. It was pretty pathetic and I don't think it was anything close
to how good they are capable of playing. Yeah I know GS had a lot to do with that but still.

What happens in the NBA would never happen in the NFL, a hard cap would prevent that and spread the talent around more. Super teams would be a thing of
the past in the NBA. Unfortunately we will never see that in the NBA. That's what makes the NFL so popular and competitive. Yeah I know the playoff races were
tight this year but come playoff time the series are not very competitive. Houston, Boston, Cleveland and Golden State are all flexing their muscles and showing off
their overabundance of talent.

I can't agree on this. The fact is, we've seen that even with all four of their all-stars playing we are capable of beating them: see games 2 and 3. Game one and four were losses. Game one was a FT issue, but game four was not. We lost game four because while AD was actually not as bad as some people said, he certainly wasn't a dynamo and nobody else was making shots either. We also lost a lot of defensive focus and played irresponsibly. We can do better than that.

Boogie, I think, is a wild card. There's a good chance that in the playoffs he collapses; we don't know because he's never been there. However, I think from his demeanour and his skill set, that he would be a big impact. If he plays this series, we are up 2-1 going into game 4 (adding a 26/13/5 guy would have won us game two, for sure) and then we'd have all the momentum. And whilst that's no guarantee we win, especially against such a team as Golden State, it is a pretty good shot that we don't go down as pathetically as we did in the real game 4.

I don't know, I just think we have to resign him and Rondo, get another SF if at all possible, and take another run at it next season with a (hopefully) more consistent and less traumatic regular season.

IMO this loss fall on gentry being out coached with the line ups and half on the players for giving up in the second half.....the start of the third we didn't attack and took to many shots and missed and golden state slowly pulled away at that point......kd shooting and scoring over Moore and jrue seem like that killed their will....we make a run and kd score and kill our sprit.......

What I don't understand is,if liggins is a defensive guy then why not play him some on kd and give jrue a break so he can save some energy to score on offense.......game 5 just play hill and liggins on kd and if he score then so be it but play jrue on curry and hope we can hold the rest of the team into having a bad game and steal game 5.......

The way we played in the 3rd and couldn't score and saw golden state pulling away,,I think the team mentally checked out at that point.......plus we needed Niko to be a 3pt monster also ...

We can't beat golden state at small ball in multiple games when kd is getting any shot he want.....we have to go big with a center like cousins who will force Kerr to get out of his small ball line up that will give us an edge that they would have a hard time stopping......

Man I hope Paul George would check his ego about being the man in Los Angeles and come to new Orleans to form a big 4 or somehow we could trade for Harrison Barnes because IMO getting either one of them would give us the edge to take golden state out.........

Nah, you can't pin this on Gentry. Us getting outscored 20-4 to start the first quarter had nothing to do with him, he played the exact same lineup that's been dynamite for us on offense for literally dozens of games throughout the year, including the lineup that killed Golden State in game 3 and swept Portland. We just missed shots that we should have made, including easy buckets, all game.

You can't put Liggins on KD. On one hand, he is a good solid defensive player, but he's also no taller than Jrue (who is even better defensively) and he also offers absolutely nothing on the other end (unlike Jrue, who does). You might argue that Hill also adds nothing on offense, but he's also got the advantage of size and he can hit wide open threes with some regularity (at least on paper, again, the execution has been poor by and large).

I agree that we need more from Niko.

I also agree that going big with a center like Cousins would help a lot. Sucks that he's been out for so long, cause he'd be very very useful right now.

My thing is, I can't take seeing jrue on kd anymore...jrue be all up in kd stuff and being physical with him and kd is avg 20 something plus it's wearing jrue down from attacking on offense.....I just don't want to see jrue use all of that energy on kd and kd still scoring and jrue don't have much in the tank to do his thing on offense.....on offense jrue be attacking and taking anyone who guard him to the rack but guarding kd takes a lot out of him and that's why I want gentry to use Moore,,hill,,liggins to guard kd and if he get his, so be it but we will also have jrue to match kd in our offensive game.....

Man this series is driving me crazy because I honestly believe we can win this series....game 1 expected us to loose because we had a lot of time off......games 2,3,4, if we bring our offense and don't give up easy pick n roll points to green and west we would be up 3-1...

I have more confidence in the road pelicans so I believe we get the win in game 5 if our offense show up and play decent defense and don't give up open pick n roll points.....I believe if this team can mentally stay in this series then we can get to a game 7.....

Why do people keep saying this? Why would Boogie "collapse" in the playoffs just because he hasn't been there? What other NBA star does this?

Having him would create several huge mismatches. It would force GsW to adjust to us instead of the other way around and they don't have anyone who could stop Boogie from collecting 30 every night.

Well I don't say that. I say in the next sentence that given his demeanour and skill set I don't think that would be the case. I mention it because there are many players who underperform when the lights get brightest. Good examples from this year include Lillard, McCollum, DeRozan, Westbrick, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Hassan Whiteside, and Kevin Love for the first 8 games.

I dont see Boogie doing like them guys.. He may have a bad game here and there, but as much as being on a winning team means to the guy, you know he will go all out even harder than he does in the regular season (and from what I've seen hes one of the players that goes the hardest all season long)
