Wow, when was the last time we actually extended a big lead late in the game?
All Hail Montel and Demps, Ad etc
Watch as ESPN chooses to not show the highlights or if they do one of these will occur:
1. Show just Nuggets misses, briefly.
2. Make fun of Nuggets for losing to us.
3. Show Hornets highlights, yet make fun of the "Pelicans."
Oh well, who cares!
Go Pels! We're coming for you, LBJ!
Poop Nuggets 86 - 110 Hornicans Final
HORNICANS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4th qtr scoring: DEN 18 - 24 NOH
It helps when we're having a good shooting night. 14-25 from three. That doesn't happen too often.
How about u?? Look...to expect Roberts to play like that always is just being crazy but his speed and creating for others is exactly what we need from the pg position. We know he isn't going to be our starter so it leaves him at the 2nd unit option only. I'd rather that than anything I've ever seen from gv.
Great win for the home team. We got great contributions from alot of guys. Really impressed by Darius and Roberts they showed ALOT in extended time.
I'd REALLY like to see more of Miller down the stretch, because we just might not need to go out and spend bi $$ on a SF if this kid could develop into the guy we've been looking for. He came out of his shell tonight because he HAD TO.
I just knew we'd get curb-stomped tonight but I'm glad I was WRONG.
This game has me perplexed. Happy for Roberts, but can this happen on a consistent basis?
THRILLED about Miller, though. Always thought that he just needed more playing time!
Of course not.but his quickness with the ball is what we need more of. As long as he understands that his role is to get others involved I think he will be just fine. I think earlier in the season Monty gave him the green light to shoot his butt off. If this performance doesn't inspire him to understand that the there is no hope but I doubt that will be a problem. Hell if we could get that on a consistent basis he'd be our starter hands down.
@SportsCenter: STUNNER in New Orleans. Hornets top Nuggets, 110-86 to snap Denver's 15-game win streak. Brian Roberts with 18 Ast in the victory.
@NBA: The @Hornets snap the @DenverNuggets 15-game win streak with a 110-86 victory. Brian Roberts finished with an incredible 18 dimes in the win
I enjoyed the game, but Brian Roberts is not going to face an old and slow pg like Miller game in and game out. We need to see him face a CP3 or DWill, or even see how he holds up against a John Wall or Rubio or Kyrie. But thats for another day, lets just enjoy his 18 dimes tonight
Roberts has 2 starts... 9 assists in the 1st I believe he doubles it (or 1 below doubled it) in his 2nd
if he gets more starts to end this season... if that trend continues... along w/ winning... it'll be hard to keep this rookie off the floor... will have to do something w/ 1 of our point guards
oh... and let's not forget the times we decide to just give Gordon the ball and let him run it
When the Aminu dunk off the roberts feed was first put up on the NBA.com game page it was named "Hornets find aminu" has been re-named Roberts finds Aminu. Don't think even NBA.com knew his name before the game
Now it's time to shop GV like crazy.
Hawniiiiits here they come. That's all I kept thinking about in that 4th quarter :hihi:
Just finished the game. I was impressed Roberts handled Iggy without issue. It just shows what a PG with some quickness can do.
WIN FOR BURKE!!! **** tanking.
I've been thinking that Roberts is a better player than this board gives him credit for. I guess its easy for me to post this now after a great performance. How can anyone say he is not a legit NBA player? Look at the dropoff from him to Terell Harris. Remember Mike James? Antoinio Daniels?!! Roberts will never be an All star but he can shoot the hell out of the ball and tonight when he played with starters he distributed very well. He will stick around next year and possibly a few more years. I think if he was 22 instead of 27 this board would love him a lot more.
