What's actually happening?!?!? We didn't make any moves outside of Jrue.

We are rumored to have contacted Collison.
Off the top of my head you still have some names people have mentioned like CJ Miles, Milos Teodosic, Rondo, Rudy Gay, Jeff Green.
Not saying I am endorsing any or all of those, but there is still some movement left.
EDIT:Shabazz Muhammed is another one.
Free agent Paul Millsap has agreed to a three-year, $90M with the Denver Nuggets, league sources tell The Vertical.

Just when you think the West can't get any tougher.....Milsap should thrive with Jokic.
Wonder how this weighs on them bringing back Gallo? Read they certainly would love to keep Gallo AND add Milsap. They have done one, next batter up i guess.
Millsap goes into room for the Nuggets. Which means no Gallinari. https://t.co/7mNwePpcZy

Damn Ben McElmore agrees to a 2 year 10.7 million dollar deal with the Grizzlies! Well there goes one of my hopeful targets...
Jrue's brother Justin agrees to a 2 year 9 million dollar deal with the Bulls
For all the talk about some of these guys ring chasing they sure are picking weird teams to go too lol

30 mil a year for Milsap. Geez.
Jrue at $25 looks better when aging guys like Lowry and Milsap go at $33 and $30. The final years of those contracts could get scary.
I would sure as hell take $8 million a year with 6% state income tax over $5 million a year with 13% state income tax. That decision would take me about 10 seconds. Nick Young is exactly what we need at a reasonable price. It would be tremendously frustrating to lose him to GS. GS is making a mockery of the NBA.
I don't understand this move by Denver. Isn't Gallinari a better fit than Millsap?
Did I read that right? Kyle Lowry signed a 3 year 100 million dollar deal? Holy!! That makes him one of the highest paid players in the league on a per year basis. DAMN
What you gonna do Swaggy P?
So the Warriors and Thunder are also interested in you?!?! Come on boy, come down to NOLA! You won't even see the court playing for the Warriors with KD, Thompson, Iggy, and Patrick McCaw. The Thunder may have even more competition on the wing with Paul George, Andre Roberson, Kyle Singler, Jerami Grant, Doug McDermott, Josh Huestis, and Alex Abrines. Here you have Solomon Hill, Etwaun Moore, Jordan Crawford, a rookie in Frank Jackson(thats if he plays the 2 instead of 1), and a guy that can't stay healthy in Quincy Pondexter.
So its simple for Swaggy. If he wants a chance to start and try to push for a playoff spot, he comes here. If he wants to win a ring, he goes to the Warriors. If he wants to be buried on the bench and make the playoffs, he goes to the Thunder.
I'm hoping for Nick Young, Ty Lawson, and decent cheap power forward.
Would zeller, dC, and shabbaz fill our needs if we can move AA and stretch Asik?
I get the sense he has to be at least heavily considering us though or the ink would be penned by now with GS.
Hopefully Cousins is making the pitch as we speak and he has the sort of cold, calculating mentality you would have at the end of the day.
And honestly it would kinda make me wonder if he does take the GS offer. I get coattail riding when you are David West or a deep rehabilitation issue if you are McGee, but Young has an offer neither of them really had and plenty of time to coattail ride in the future.
Sources: Clippers presentation made a strong impression on free agent Danilo Gallinari in Los Angeles today. They've long coveted him.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 3, 2017
Interesting little roster the Clippers are shaping up to potentially have:
Beverly, Lous Williams, Gallo, Griffin, Jordan.
Not sure what i think about it? Point-Griffin has to be a given, but how it is all gonna work out? I could see some pretty extremes both ways lol.
I could see a 5 seed team or a middle of the pack lottery team with Rivers fired and the team in complete rebuild by next Summer.
Well you must be kinda young then. There are many ways for rich folks to mitigate their tax bill. And places with no or lower taxes make up the difference elsewhere. So its never that simple. And if you think the only factors are salary and taxes, then I'll bow out of this conversation.
Right now all the Clips can offer Gallo is the full MLE.
Sources on @ESPN: Carmelo Anthony is now open to waiving no-trade clause for Houston or Cleveland. https://t.co/AneqQQcXCZ

For the love of God, stay in the freaking East.
Sounds like something is brewing:
They like other guys more and feel like they have a chance to get them and need every tool at their disposal. Watch wat Dell does next https://t.co/PssO1dzZKA
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
He is trying really, really hard to pull off something bigger than just the 9th men types we've been hearing. I can tell you that. https://t.co/9orWyVUVmG
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
Yes, and he is not currently a free agent. https://t.co/59cx2fdkl0
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
It takes two to tango. Just because the Pels are being aggressive doesn't mean that they can land guys. But Dell is super, super active. https://t.co/255mldUWzB
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
I don't know because I don't know how much other teams value our assets. But Dell is trying to sell them on what he's got https://t.co/kGpMSygQ59
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
I highly, highly doubt it. Not the type of guy they are targeting. https://t.co/DXGvdUTYlQ
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 3, 2017
I'm going to say it's a PG, and I'm going to guess it's either Bledsoe or Lin. I'd be happy with either, but this article makes me lean more toward Lin:
https://www.thebirdwrites.com/2017/7...ter-draft-pick
Why is MM's tweets and articles still posted here like the guy has any credibility? He is ALWAYS wrong
Just throwing this name out there...mike conley.
How many first rd picks would it take to get him if memphis decides to blow it up with how deep the west is getting?
For some reason, I think he may be a name to watch.
His contract is too large. We can't put together a reasonable trade package for him without sacrificing one of AD/Boogie (or mind-controlling them into taking a pu-pu platter of hot garbage), which obviously isn't happening. Jrue is ineligible to trade since we just signed him as a free agent yesterday, so that wouldn't be an option either. The "fourth piece" we're pursuing will have a much smaller contract than Conley's, which makes sense because we're adding him in addition to our "Big 3." As a result, some sort of compilation of role player contracts will be required to pull of such a trade from a salary perspective, barring the intervention of a third team.
"Dell is busting his butt right now. 20-22 hour days. He is committed to a top 4 seed kind of team"
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 2, 2017
And no, my source is not Dell
In response to:
"What realistic moves are possible to make the Pels a top 4 seed? Bledsoe maybe.."
Or Lin IMO, but I am in the minority https://t.co/AGcuc9ugF8
— Pelicans Podcaster (@SilverAndMac) July 2, 2017
Bledsoe and Holliday would not be an ideal fit!!
But can you say EXPLOSIVE!
ILL take it. IF healthy Jrue and Bledsoe should be able to lock down some opposing backcourts. Itd be fun to watch
Hopefully that's for the best...jrue played really good for the limited minutes him and tyreke shared the court together. I think another ball handler the defense respects makes the game easier for jrue. It also would allow him to expend more energy on defense. If McNamara's tweets are indicative of anything the pels might pull off a trade that could be pretty good.
I think right now you have, barring injuries:
Warriors
Rockets
Spurs
Thunder
As your 1-4 seeds.
You have the Wolves in a spot they could end up in that number or slip lower based on fit of players(not a lot of good shooting in a 3 point driven league).
Jazz if they get Hayward back in the mix, potential lottery team if not.
I think that realistically leaves 2-3 spots up for grabs that the Pels should be in the mix for. Competing with the Blazers, Grizzlies, Nuggets, Jazz(with Hayward) and the Clippers. Its an ugly and ridiculously tough battle, but maybe this offseason will lead to a constitutional crisis with Silver and owners much quicker then many thought.
Plus how would spacing work with Eric jrue and hill???
Lol nvm I didn't see your post
The only thing saving the East IMO is they have a few up and coming teams in Washington, Milwaukee, Philly, and maybe the Celtics if Ainge can stop hoarding. But thats seasons away in all likelihood.
But even then there is a fair chance someone like Wall ends up in the West next year. Lebron Makes his way West on some team like the Lakers that have the cap space and flexibility and deep pockets to support his dream team with all his buddies coincidentally coming into FA next season.
There is no way in hell I would give up this much for Bledsoe-
That's the kind of offer you make for a superstar player, not someone like Bledsoe.Quote:
If I am Pels today, I am throwing a godfather offer out for Bledsoe. QPon, Ajinca, Moore and picks in 18 and 20. Swap rights in 19 and 21
