Seems like at least CP3 gave a brief thought about the deal New Orleans reportedly offered him, but I don't think there was ever even remotely a possibility he would sign that after the year Phoenix just had, unless Phoenix offered a ridiculously lowballed offer.
People saying tampering should just be allowed because everyone does it are wrong. Imagine having a player under contract in the final year of their deal, and then members of another organization constantly talking to that player and his agent throughout that season about signing them in the upcoming offseason. At least the tampering involving Anthony Davis was player to player... not something the NBA can prevent.
