I was driving into work today and I thought to myself, wouldn't it be something if we found a way to move Jrue for PG? We have no real assets to move Jrue with, so that is the holdup, but you trade Jrue, Moore, and TJones for George (it works).

Considering we did this not only to make ad happy but to also ensure we keep jrue I don't think he was ever up for a trade

I wonder how on-board Jrue is now. I gotta think after losing Ryno (and EG to an extent) without compensation... I gotta wonder if we'll try to move Jrue before the deadline.

I know there's a good chance it won't happen, so I won't get my hopes up... but Boogie is real good friends with Eric Bledsoe... I heard a reporter say that Boogie only trust a couple people in the NBA, and that's Bledsoe and John Wall.

Phoenix has been rumored to be trying to trade Bledsoe... I wonder if there was a thought in the organization to make a play for Bledsoe, and use Jrue's expiring as a piece.

Just me thinking out loud. I know the staff has said they'll try to re-sign Jrue, but if he signs somewhere else that'll be 3 good players that we lost without getting ANYTHING in return.

I understand, but if Indy would listen to a trade (as suggested) because they view the PG13 situation the same way the Kings viewed Boogie, I would certainly make that move. PG13>Jrue, and would make this team better than Jrue ever could. While it wont happen, its fun to dream.

Very true but I mean are we putting Frazier out there as the starting guard? And yea I get it those 3 would make up for a lot of deficits on the defensive end and scoring wise but still scary thought lol

I'm still not sure how that fills all the holes we would have. If you do find that $30m how do you fill out that roster? Jrue would have to take a pay cut (which I think he should do as he isn't a top tier pg to begin with).

Cap goes up to 102 mill (up from 94 mill), and the Lux tax will be set at 122. Not sure what they're projecting Jrue's contract to be.

I like casspi, he's a great shooter who can play stretch 4 ala' Ryan Anderson. Between him and Hill I like our versatility at SF.

The NBA had an ownership interest over the Hornets in that trade. They do not possess such an interest here. There won't be a veto.

So they're saying they're probably waiving matt Barnes

They have to waive Barnes to make room for the players they are acquiring.

Exactly. The idiotic media is the one who put it in everyone's head that the league has some sort of veto power on trades. The only reason they were able to turn down the CP trade was because the league owned the then Hornets.

Wish we would have thrown in qpon and got McLemore. Especially if they are just going to buy Galloway out. Could have kept him and maybe moved him in another trade.

Or even Terrance Jones. What confuses me even more about Sacramento is that they need a 4. Now they still have no 4 and by not sending McLemore to the Pels, the Pels have little depth in the back court. This deal could've made a lot more basketball sense and Sacramento could've saved face a bit.

Question 100 of the CBA Faq:

"A team cannot reacquire a player they traded away during that season (a season being July 1 - June 30). If he is waived by his new team, then he cannot re-sign with his original team until the one-year anniversary of the trade, or until the July 1 following the end of his contract, whichever comes first. I can understand the Suns being that they have Bledsoe but the Kings angle doesn't make sense. They essentially let Thomas walk because they thought they got a better player when they signed Collison. Thinking Collison is better than Thomas is just clueless.

Just heard on the radio Ben Mc and Collison (already knew about him) are on the block as well. Kings cleaning house over there.
