Game Thread: Lakers @ Hornets

This franchise should be ashamed of themselves. And this lost is only proving to bandwagoners to not care about Pelicans next year.

i could care ****ing less who is one this team from now on. or whos coaching it and i really want Vasquez to break his femur after this game so i dont have to see him play ever again

When the Lakers need to put the game in someone's hands, they give it to their best player. OKC puts the ball in Durants hands or sometimes Westbrook who likes to chuck but is dynamic enough to make it work anyway. The Knicks can go to Melo. Hell, even the Raptors/Grizzlies could go to Gay in the clutch.

Who do we have? Gordon still doesn't get the ball when it matters and when he does he passes the ball to Robin Lopez.

And I don't care how young or slim Davis is, he should always play.

**** the Lakers.

I would love to hear why Monty wouldn't put Davis back in the game!

Im not so sure these games arent being intentionally tanked. Its one thing to have offensive droughts, its another to have such a poor shot time after time down the stretch. The descisions they make dont make any sense im sorry.

There's no way Monty will be our coach next year . I just can't see us bringing him back . He is terrible

Most painful loss of the season.

The only thing this game accomplished is set the future Pelicans back in attracting fans. I mean the fans didn't even get to see the best player on the team play in the second half.

Instead we got to watch Lopez miss 6 dunks.

Monty is credited for Batum's development, maybe he's more fit as an assistant coach rather than a head coach.

So wait, did Davis come into the game with :25 left?

And don't give me some taking out Lopez stuff. There's NOTHING stopped Monty from playing Lopez, Anderson, and Davis at the same time with Vasquez and Gordon.

Force some friggin' match up issues. Be creative.

Personally, I don't care what you call it. I'm not gonna sit here and get worked up over this loss any more than any other loss. How quickly we forget that just last year we were hoping that Monty and Dell get extensions. We luck up and get Anthony Davis now we are willing to get rid of Monty for someone that will play him more minutes. Sky is fallin fans....boy I tell ya....

Refs. Like I said he isn't a basketball fan so he wouldn't know when bad coaching is taking place.

Honestly, I was one of the biggest Monty supporters this site had, but I'm really beginning to lose faith.

I hope Monty has tough questions to answer post game. Anyone with a twitter should tweet some of the reporters.

With Gasol on the bench and Howard abusing Lopez, why wasn't the decision made to use Davis to spread the floor, defend the rim and finish with the low post assists, he's great at finishing at the rim, Lopez missed about a good 4 shots at the rim that davis makes? Also why not change the half court defense to defend the perimeter while up by 20 POINTS instead of worrying about Howard getting a dunk or Kobe penetrating? Isn't the 3 more dangerous at that point in the game?

We just didn't make adjustments to the Laker's adjustments. We stayed within the constraints of the "game plan" and didn't stray away from it while up to keep the lead. AWFUL coaching.

also i want to apologize again cause this is the second time ive turned the game on with a big 4th quarter lead and then the team suddenly implodes and we lose

This is perhaps a new low for this franchise, forget about draft picks and tanking, this about a total collapse of a team and a reflection of the mental fortitude or lack there of from their head coach. I have been supporting this team as a season ticket holder since they came to New Orleans but I can't waste my money on this garbage anymore and I think there will be a lot of others that are feeling the same way. I lost faith awhile ago. He has talent, but his rotations have always been suspect, even in year one where he probably cost us a few games and a higher seed with not playing Aaron Gray or Thornton throughout the season when they were clearly better options at their positions.

Funny...for the fist 15 pages you guys were loving Monty and his rotations...and now you all want him fired.....I certainly don't have the basketball IQ as most of you on this forum but seems to me there were too many mistakes by the players...too many turnovers under the rim...too many bad shots....how many times does Meek have to drain a 3 before the defender relaizes he should stay on his man.....could Monty have done something about tihs ....maybe he tried...but players have to play and make better decisions......oh..and the referees really hurt us bad.....that last block by Howard was no differnet than the foul Lopez got on Kobe a few minutes prior.....

Im down with that. I said to myself our Monday night game was untankable. Somehow we still managed to lose. Fool me once shame on me. Fool me twice shame on you Pelicawns.

If the hornets just score 15 points in the 4th they win this game .. We scored 9 points . Our best low post player on offense & defense is on the ****ing bench . Vasquez is running around like a chicken with its head caught off , Aminu the only player who can stick Kobe is on the damn bench, & Gordon couldn't hit a shot to save his life.

Monty please go .. Take Eric Grdon with you . Monty sucks as a in game coach . He flat out sucks . Watching Lopez get abused and make absolutely no adjustments at all

He didn't play the best DEFENSIVE player on the team in the 4th.
He also let the Lakers go on a 14-0 run before calling timeout.
