Did Dunn have a decent SL team? I know Murray's team was pretty good so he had more freedom to operate.
I feel that at this point in time if you put Dunn in the same situation as Hield, he'd be able to deal with it slightly better, only because he's more physical, athletic and has a tighter handle than Hield. That said if he was the guy on this team, players probably wouldn't respect his shot so the lanes would likely close up. Bit of a moot point
Atm I'd say you don't want him as your main guy, which is totally fine because he'll be the 3rd to 4th option on the starting lineup anyway. In an Eric Gordon type role I'd go as far as saying he's an upgrade.
Looking forward to see how he develops with his handles and refining his offensive moves (more moves off the ball instead of off the dribble). It'll be where he takes the next step over the next couple seasons.
He has the explosiveness. It's his first taste of NBA paced basketball. He's used to being able to just shoot over and drive by college level players at the slower pace they play at. This is where NBA coaching has to take over. He has to learn you can't hop around NBA talent. You've got to get on your toes, make a sharp move and go. Quickly.
If he's coached right you'll see the difference after he's had time to work on it. It's not like he never did it from time to time in college. Now it's got to be all the time. It's an adjustment.
Yeah I'm not worried about Hield's shot just because our team was so bad around him (outside of Diallo).
What was impressive to me was he was probably asked to do more playmaking for others in SL than ever at OU and after the 1st game where he lost the ball a lot, he really adjusted and did just that. That bodes well for him being able to move the ball around and hit open guys.
I also liked his rebounding and thought his defense got better as SL went on. When you look at how he played that 1st game compared to the last, there was a lot of improvement there.
Diallo however, was just surprising. Because there was so limited footage of him and how thin he was I thought he'd struggle more than he did. Really impressive so far.
I can't wait for TC and pre season to start and see how much they have progressed.
Was there anyone on any team that we could move Cunningham or Qpon for? I'd like to see a couple SF and a PF brought in.
I wouldn't trade Q-Pon! He's on the best contract in the NBA. He's only making like 3 mil for the next few seasons. You can't trade a great bench player like that.
Well, Murray beasted again
Well, Ulis beasted again
He sure did

Tyus Jones leading the Vegas summer league in assists!! If any other coach would be coaching the T-wolves, we would likely have Kris Dunn on our roster. That team has Rubio, Jones, & LaVine with no shooters!! They needed a shooter more than anything lol. I like Buddy though, but man he better start making some damn shots!! I just think Dunn has a chance to be really good.
Buddy No Buckets better turn back to Buddy Buckets the next time I see him play lol!!
Found a great highlight video of Hield in SL for anybody that missed the games and is interested. The guy who made this has one on a lot of the top players. Was hoping for one on Diallo but he doesn't have one atleast yet.

Diallo will be our center if he continues to play the way he did in the SL. He is a major steal.
I still prefer Buddy over Murray, despite Buddy's SL struggles.
people still looking too much isn't buddy's SL struggles, heck look at KAT in SL, averaged like 39% from the field.
bender shot 25% tonight.
all the top rookies have struggled at times. Buddy will be good, and his passing has been an awesome surprise.
Not sure why MM had reservations on Brown before the draft. He looks great in these highlights

I was very pro-Jaylen Brown. Can't decide squat off SL. Good or bad.
Absolutely. Brown is a freak of aN athlete and I def trust Danny Ainge over MM evaluations. Brown will be a very good player in the NBA. IMO. I really wanted to us to get Tyler Ullis or Bentil in the 2nd round too. Although now seeing Diallo I can't be upset. However long ways to go but Diallo looks very good,
supposedly tyler Ulis has been the best summer league rookie and tonight he went 5/21
anyone remember when Karl Anthony Towns shot 39% last summer league and averaged 12-7?
After Summer league, NBA's Scott Howard-Cooper says he doesn't buy into summer league translating into NBA production and his rookie rankings ladder for the regular season is:
1. Simmons
2. Buddy
3. Ingram
4. Murray
5. Dunn
6. Bender
7. Brown
8. Poeltl
9. Embiid
10. Prince
