jrue and wall are right around the same but ill give jrue the edge just because of defense but honestly i think they are the same and would be happy with either but i have heard wall has a terrible attitude , as far as lillard and jrue im taking jrue every time and its not close. jrue scores just as well, is a better passer, rebounder, and much much much better defender

Out of all the teams in the Oden race, which teams can offer him more than 1 year?
oden would be a great addition
Heat won't because of all their expiring contract next season, Chalmers Battier Lewis Allen Jones then Haslem and Anthony have a player option, and then Bosh Wade and James all have an early termination option... They'll need some room to sign role players.
but Spurs can since they re-signed Manu for 2 years, I bet they project to end this era in 2015 so offer a 2 year deal to Oden is possible.
I forgot to mention the Spurs already signed Pendergraff and Belinelli both for 2 years with the MLE and spent about 5M for them. They might offer multi year deal to Oden but I dont know where they found 3M to match our offer.
I don't get guys chasing rings when they have other options that would mean a bigger role on a team. I get that if it's the only option that you would do it. But winning a ring playing like no minutes is, I would think, embarrassing for a someone who considers themselves a top player. Seriously, it's pretty meaningless to win a ring on the hard work of others, and a cop out.
Do you really think that Oden wouldn't get minutes on the Heat team? I think he would start if he's healthy. That'll send Bosh to the 4 and UD back to the bench where he belongs. In Miami, Oden would be chasing a ring and contributing. The Heat want him for one series, Indiana. That'll be where he earns his money. If you had the choice to contribute on a championship team or the Pels, what would you choose? I think the Pels are a better fit long term and offer him the best opportunity for multiple playoff/championship runs but in the short term, Miami would give him the best of both worlds. With that said, I really hope he looks at the big picture and comes to New Orleans
I honestly think Wall is just not taking things seriously. He's not the most mature player, but he plays defense pretty well considering he doesn't give it his all. Short of Russell Westbrook, Wall is the quickest player in the league. One-on-one, he's unguardable.
This is taking too long, the suspense is killing me. It feels like we already have Oden locked up in the bag but for some reason I'm not feeling that anymore since its forever and will
Probably drag out for another month.
Is there an exact date set up or just informal "We'll meet up when I get the time"? Don't have high hopes but the thought of having Oden for 15-20 minutes a game is awesome.
It could be that Dell and Mickey have told Greg, "Look we want you one our team. Go out and talk to other teams and bring us their best offer and we'll beat it." Knowing no one os going to break the bank for him, but showing him he's getting the best possible deal from us.
Marcus Camby is deciding between the Bulls, Heat and Rockets. If he ends up in Miami, does that make it tougher for them to bring in Oden as well?

Exactly. Wall is a bro whether you like him or not. He is underrated because he disapointed the media in his first campaign, but I can definately see him becoming a dominant player. As for Oden... Every day you choose not to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans, I will sever one of my fingers. Please- do the right thing Greg... Don't make me suffer any more than need be
Look at the reports, it is already out there how much/long we are going to offer. We have been interested in him for at least a week, our medical staff is not just sitting there and waiting, they have already been doing their HW. By the time he chooses a team I would be surprised if that team hasn't already done all of their research.
Have you seen any trade that has failed because of a physical? Yeah that happens afterwards. Transactions, whether it be via trade or signings are ALWAYS contingent on a physical. See the Tyson Chandler/OKC "trade".
They're all pending physicals.
Exactly they had an offer to the player. Signings are no doubt contingent on physicals and doctor opinions. The point is I wouldn't worry about the physical part before we give him an offer I'd worry about what our medical staff thinks. And IMO that shouldn't take weeks after Oden's decision is made.
I have a feeling they are going to give him the Perry Jones/Andrew Bynum timeline: Two years and his knees will give out... I hope that is not the case
Those are rumors, not actual offers. They could easily be leaked by the agent to drive up offers or by the Pelicans to make competing teams think guys like Dalembert and Camby are better options. Even if it's accurate, it still could easily be an "if his health checks out we'd be willing to offer $3 million" His agent certainly doesn't think an offer is coming before the medical evaluation.

Greg Oden agent Mike Conley said likely will be few weeks before Oden picks a team Interested teams must continue to sift through medrecords
Greg Oden will workout for the Heat, Pelicans and Kings this week, and the Spurs and Mavericks also remain in contention to sign him.
The Mavs still want him despite recently signing Samuel Dalembert, and the Pelicans are trying to sell him on the notion of a low-pressure comeback out of the media spotlight, but ESPN.com refers to Miami and San Antonio as the "co-favorites" at the moment. The Kings, on the other hand, are described as a "longshot."

Basically we're hearing a lot of the same stuff from different 'sources'.

Sources told ESPN.com on Monday that the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings will all send representatives this week to watch Oden work out in person.
Annoying that we never get any specific dates or times.
Those articles also mention the heat and spurs being the front runners for him.
Honestly if he ends up being healthy and chooses the Heat or Spurs it would be fairly upsetting and sour an otherwise great offseason.
The one big weakness the Heat would have would be eliminated if Oden is healthy finally.
Nevertheless I would still be happy that Dell is making the pushes he is and this whole offseason has really turned me into a believer of Dell as a GM, despite my draft day uncertainties.
RT @SpearsNBAYahoo: Just Kings & Pelicans scheduled to watch injury-riddled free agent C Greg Oden workout & rehab in hometown of Indy Tuesday, source tells Y!
Finally. A date. Hope we get some more media presence there. Get some vid maybe. See what kinda shape he's in.
I'm curious to know who they're sending to Indy to look at him. Just curious.
RT @SpearsNBAYahoo: Grizz G Mike Conley said after @usabasketball practice that old prep teammmate Greg Oden has looked good in summer workouts but no 5on5 yet.
I wonder if Conley would honestly say if Greg DIDN'T look good though.
