What's y'all thoughts on the new rule changes for resting stars?

Training camp starts in 2 weeks. Time flies.
I....I don't want it :(
Jose got hurt and is questionable for the start of training camp. It is what it is.
This franchise is just so damn consistent.
It's a great quality to have really.
Who is the next one? Zion or Ingram?
Or both?
The New Orleans Pelicans are signing forward Kaiser Gates on a two-way NBA contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Gates averaged 14 points on 55.4 percent 3-point shooting for G League Long Island last season.

55.4% from 3 on over 120 attempts is fairly promising. Guess Kaiser was on a roll.

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Pelicans will have their Media Day event for the 2023-24 season on Oct. 2. The highly anticipated event marks the beginning of the new basketball season. New Orleans will open its training camp in preparation for the preseason tipoff against the Orlando Magic on Oct. 10. The players' health and fitness will be a central topic of discussion.
"I can tell you Zion Williamson has been in our gym more than he has in his entire career in the offseason," Griffin said, speaking at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club luncheon. "He has been in New Orleans virtually all offseason, which is different."
Zion, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum are scheduled to attend the Pelicans players' media availability session at 11:00 AM CT. Executive management will handle announcements regarding the health of Trey Murphy III, Jose Alvarado, and other players. Both players suffered injuries during private workouts and expect to miss multiple weeks at the start of the new season.
General manager Trajan Langdon and head coach Willie Green will join David Griffin at the podium at 10 AM CT. Hopefully, the third-year coach will discuss bringing the Pelicans guiding the Pelicans to another playoff appearance. New Orleans opens training camp on Oct. 3. The regular season for New Orleans begins on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 25.
Lillard goes Milwaukee as part of a 3-team deal with Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected MIL 1st, and unprotected MIL swap rights in 2028 and 2030 to Blazers. Phoenix lands Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson. https://t.co/Ge0H91AiIA

Jrue legit just talked about how he wanted to stay in Milwaukee the rest of his career. It's tough out there. Still glad he got that ring though.
But that's a lot of the hanging threads of the offseason wrapped up together. Where does Lillard go, what do the Suns do with Ayton, how are the Blazers going to retool for the future, can the Suns add any depth at all, what will the Bucks do to try and ease Giannis tensions? All wrapped up pretty neatly.
Can the Pels trade for Jrue??? I think he’d be a great addition again.
We certainly could, though I'm sceptical that we would.
I'd be open to swapping McCollum for him though. Huge defensive upgrade (even though Jrue's defense has declined a little) and if his 3pt shooting stays at Milwaukee levels (shot 39.5% on over 1000 attempts in his 3 seasons there) the perimeter shooting wouldn't take too much of a hit. And that's without getting to the fact that it's Jrue.
Contract is a concern though, he's got a player option coming up and might be after a huge extension.
Things to think about.
How do y'all feel about the Suns without Ayton? I feel like Portland and Phoenix both just dropped clearly beneath us if healthy (not that the Blazers were above us before).
Like. The Suns might push for regular season Champs but once it hits the playoffs...they're going to get destroyed by Jokic or Zion/JV. I absolutely love our chances being able to slow down their big 3 vs them having to roll our Nurkic and Bol Bol to stop our beefybois.
Now, they have a long time left to make more moves but as of now, I could see Portland taking the Suns in a seven game series due to match-up nightmares and I think we beat both handily...IF HEALTHY. Lol
I think team USA just needs to wait then cause 51% from 3 is something I need to see https://t.co/tXH64DCfnU

So he signs a camp deal, but wont participate in camp? Then what's the purpose?
Most likely for the gleague team. I think we get first dibs on him if he was signed and waived by the team
Jrue traded to Boston
I'd love to see Robert Williams III even more.
This is the haven of injured players anyway. Perfect fit in every way possible.
Where are all the "kick the tires" folks at? This place has gotten so dead even all them are gone too?
I have officially requested to be traded from the Charlotte Hornets. #GOATLIFE

I’m locked in. Got my league pass ready. Excited to see Kira play. Out of all the ppl, Kira seems to have gotten a lot of praise. Trey spoke on him in his latest interview.
Heard a lot of talk about Kira. It'll be interesting to see. I liked him coming out of college, even if I would have preferred Maxey most of the year, but between very sub-par results in the NBA when he has played and major injury, I'm coming close to the end of my tether with him. Hope he can show up big time this year, fully recovered and integrated with a training camp, and show the potential he had before. He's still young.
Milwaukee just waived Drew Timme. On a team that sports the Lopez Bros (Brooks and Robin) the Antetokounmpo Bros (Giannis and Thanasis), Bobby Portis and Jae Crowder, Milwaukee (a win now contender) was never going to work out for the Gonzaga three-time All American. While he wouldn't necessarily move the needle in New Orleans, I would love to kick the tires, especially if the Pelicans do intend to move on from JV. Timme proved to an accomplished high post facilitator in college who spread the court in college and shot the ball at a 60% clip on volume. He may turn out to be another Tyler Hansbrough or, better yet, poor man's Domantas Sabonis (another Gonzaga product)
This place is starting to come back, we now have our first "kick the tires" that Luckyman wanted.
No Steven Adams this year for Memphis. Who has been a menace in the paint everytime he plays the Pelicans.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ry-miss-seasonQuote:
Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams will not play this season as he needs to undergo surgery on the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, the team announced Sunday.
**Also no Brandon Clarke for a while. Pels better win this game while the Grizz are impersonating the Pelicans.
Could you guys imagine what would've happened in here if we did trade for Scoot...he has been so bad so far and his shooting looks worse than projected and the talk about him having Ja, Rose,Westbrook type athleticism is nowhere to be found. Of course he can get better as it's still early, but the struggles he is on is a bit shocking with the type of hype he had coming in.
